5. Course Objectives:

The primary objective of this course is to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and skills to effectively design and manage supply chains. The course enables students to understand fundamental principles, logistics operations, facility location decisions, resource management, material flow, and inventory management. Additionally, students will be introduced to modern tools and methodologies like MRP, JIT, and ECR to optimize supply chains, while developing analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities in real-world scenarios.

This course provides a foundation in supply chain design and management, including fundamental concepts, logistics operations, and optimization strategies. The content emphasizes facility location decisions, resource planning, material flow and inventory management, as well as procurement processes and warehouse operations. Students will learn to use modern tools like MRP, JIT, and ECR to address challenges in supply chains and logistics, while developing teamwork and hands-on skills through practical exercises and projects.
