5. Course Objectives:
The "Simulation Models in Supply Chain Management" course equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply simulation models to analyze and evaluate supply chain performance. Students will understand the fundamentals of Discrete Event Simulation and the components of simulation models; gain insights into the properties of random distributions and random variates; and utilize Anylogic software to build, verify, and validate simulation models. Additionally, students will learn how to analyze input and output data, compare operational scenarios using statistical tools, and make data-driven management decisions.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
Modeling and analysis of industrial and service systems, especially the logistics and supply chain systems, modeling perspectives, discrete event and continuous simulation, model building using ARENA, statistical aspects of simulation.
