5. Course Objectives:

he introductory course in International Relations provides students with a systematic body of foundational knowledge in the discipline of International Relations (IR), encompassing core concepts, categories, and theoretical frameworks, as well as key actors and fundamental dynamics such as power, conflict, and cooperation. Through this course, students develop analytical, critical, and theoretical thinking skills, enabling them to apply IR theories and analytical tools to interpret and explain events, issues, and trends in international political life. At the same time, the course aims to foster an objective and multidimensional worldview, along with a rigorous academic attitude toward the study of complex international issues, and to enhance awareness of the role of peaceful instruments such as diplomacy and international cooperation.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

This course is organized into six modules:
Module 1: International Relations and the Discipline of International Relations – Introduces the scope, core concepts, and academic foundations of International Relations.
Module 2: Actors in International Relations and the International System – Examines key actors and the structure of the international system.
Module 3: Power in International Relations – Explores the concept, forms, and role of power in international interactions.
Module 4: Instruments of International Relations: Diplomacy – Analyzes diplomacy as a primary tool of international relations.
Module 5: Conflict and War in International Relations – Addresses the causes and dynamics of conflict and war.
Module 6: Cooperation and Integration in International Relations – Focuses on the nature and significance of international cooperation and integration.
