This course is structured into six main modules:
Module 1: Overview of External Economics
This module introduces the scope, functions, and research methods of external economics. It presents fundamental concepts and examines the necessity, role, and significance of external economics in Vietnam’s renovation process and international economic integration.
Module 2: Vietnam’s Foreign Trade
This module covers the concept and role of foreign trade, Vietnam’s foreign trade policies, and trends in Vietnam’s export and import activities across different periods.
Module 3: International Investment in Vietnam
This module examines key concepts of foreign investment, major forms of international investment, the legal framework governing foreign direct investment, and the current situation of foreign investment inflows into Vietnam as well as Vietnam’s outward investment.
Module 4: Vietnam’s Foreign Exchange Market
This module focuses on the foreign exchange market, exchange rate mechanisms, and the formation and development of Vietnam’s foreign exchange market.
Module 5: International Labor Mobility
This module explores concepts of international labor mobility, its determinants and impacts, Vietnam’s labor export and import activities, and their economic and social implications.
Module 6: International Economic and Financial Organizations and Vietnam’s Economic Integration
This module examines international economic and financial organizations and economic alliances, and analyzes Vietnam’s economic integration at the bilateral, multilateral, regional, and global levels.
