Law and Public Policy are subjects that provide students with the basic knowledge to deeply study about governance issues. Public policy can be understood as the result of the realization of the State's political directions on society. The State makes policies and the law is the process of the State translating policies. This course helps gain a vision at the leadership level in the State's agencies by providing students with general knowledge about 4 main groups of content: (i) State - public policy maker, (ii) Law - policy implementation, (iii) Institution - Policy and relationship with law, (iv) Public policy in a global context. The course is 3 credits, divided into 4 sections and 9 topics. Each topic will be conducted in 1 lesson alongside with 2 introductory sessions and summaries of the subject. Students are required to research and read approximately 10-20 pages of material each session. In addition, the lecturer will provide some additional materials in English to serve the needs of comparative research.
