5. Course Objectives:

The course objectives are to enable the students to learn about macro-economic and micro-economic determinants of the supply and demand of real estate. Students will aim at learning basic techniques of economic report writing and to actually create a standard report. The students will learn to collect data, interpret, analyze, present, and write the report following the instructor’s interactive guidelines.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

This course applies the economic thinking and research to the task of analyzing real estate market fundamentals, forecasting supply and demand, and public policies concerning land use regulation and delivery of public services. The course provides a broad understanding of economic forces that affect cities worldwide including those in Vietnam. The course allows the students to compare and contrast unique characteristics of the Vietnam’s real estate market, those of a stylized one, and those of a typical market in the region.
