5. Course Objectives:

The course Robotics 2 focuses on applying modern technologies to program and control mobile robots using the Robot Operating System (ROS) platform. Students will be provided with foundational knowledge of ROS, from installation to utilizing software packages, programming mobile robot control, and processing sensor data. The course integrates theory with hands-on practice on self-built mobile robots, including 4-wheeled and 2-wheeled differential robots, using provided components. Students will also develop skills in mapping, navigation, and obstacle avoidance in real-world environments.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

This course provides students with the basic knowledge and foundation of robotics engineering. Students will build on the foundation of previous subjects such as: engineering mechanics, mechanical design, automatic control to build, design and evaluate robotic systems. The content in this module includes: conversion of coordinate system; robot kinematics analysis; determine the problems of forward kinematics, inverse kinematics of robots; set the motion trajectory of the robot; Jacobi problem and velocity; forward and reverse dynamics; programming simulation and robot control.
