Real estate market analysis will help students learn about data sources used in economic research. They will also learn to analyze trends, market performance, sales, lending, and renting. In addition, the course covers topics such as studies of land use and urban design, transport studies, human behavior and population mobility, and industry and consumption. There will be case studies, illustrative examples and guest speaker sessions to enhance analysis of the development of shopping malls, the development of vacant lands (sales, projections, and survey), the location of service centers, population projections, employment trends, and urban renewal projects.
This course will also provide guidance to conduct research on and analysis in markets for single-family homes, apartments, industrial real estate, offices, shopping malls, hotels, and real estate serving special or mixed purposes. The course will focus on case studies for a variety of real estate types. The guest speakers will provide students with real estate market data and insights.
