Translate the role of the information system in global E-business and collaboration
Realize what is the impact of information system on organization, on strategy and how can information systems help businesses become more competitive.
Demonstrate the Information Technology Infrastructure along with tools and techniques for security and control.
Show the core information system applications businesses are using today to improve operational excellence and decision making: ERP, SCM, CRM, AI and knowledge management; e-commerce applications; and business intelligence systems
Realize how to use the acquired knowledge to analyze and design information system solutions to business problems.
6. Brief Description of Course Content:
This unit enables students to understand the various types of information systems in corporations and administrations. It gives students the ability to recognize about the information system with regard to type, function, purpose and the frameworks within which these systems are used. Topics in this unit include computer hardware and software; organizational information system; internets; extranets; networking; enterprise-wide information systems; ethics and use of business application software – database management system and spreadsheets.
