Describe the nature and benefits of globalization and international markets integration Critically evaluate fundamental theories underpinning international finance Identify the implications of these theories when business organizations are engaged in international operations Analyze the role and functioning of international financial markets Apply critical thinking, problem solving and presentation skills to individual and/or group activities dealing with international finance

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

This unit applies theories in economics and finance to analyze problems and challenges that the international financial environment presents to financial managers. The managerial perspective of international financial corporations and institutional structure and their operations are emphasized. This unit focuses on the foundations of international financial management, the foreign exchange market, exchange rate determination, and currency derivatives, foreign exchange exposure and management, and world financial markets and institutions.
