5. Course Objectives:

The course will provide a theoretical and practical knowledge on the operating environment in the Asia market today, and will highlight the market trends that company executives should capture in Asia and Emerging Markets, with a strong focus on Asia regions and large markets like China, India, and the other markets in order to export to or invest in these markets. The course contents cover knowledge and practical activities of the industrial and market environment of the Asians, and address market opportunities and obstacles for Vietnamese companies, with particular focus on trends and best practices in the fastest growing industry sectors in the region. Accordingly, students are expected to investigate those topics such as PESTEL factors, culture diversity, financial markets, strategies of internationalization, market expansion, and development of SMEs and industries to this region.

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

Markets of Asia focuses on internationalisation and global competitiveness of organisations in the Asian region. The unit also encourages an appreciation of cultural diversity, and develops students’ knowledge and skills so that upon completion of this unit, they will understand the relevant business practices needed to be responsive to enterprise opportunities and threats within this global community.
