5. Course Objectives:

"Acknowledge the significance of business analysis and visualization in business; Gain hands-on experience in data cleaning, preprocessing, and transforming raw data to ensure high quality and integrity, enabling reliable business decisions; Develop proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Excel) and get exposure to more advanced software and programming languages (e.g. PowerBI, Python); Gain sufficient knowledge, skills, and experience in designing and implementing a complete business analytics project"

6. Brief Description of Course Content:

Groups of students are required to collect data from the market/industry and from their corresponding companies to identify key existing business problems. It is expected that the problems are in the groups’ interested fields of study (i.e., marketing). Theses groups of students are required to identify symptoms, potential problems, and then validate main problems as well as explore potential causes. The alternative solutions and action plan are then suggested for the company.
