SCHOLARSHIP POLICY FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ENROLLED FULL-TIME AT UEH
1. Eligible Applicants
- International students who have been admitted and officially enrolled in undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral programs at UEH.
- Not applicable to students under Government Agreement (scholarship agreement) programs.
2. Scholarship value
The international student scholarship applies to undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs as follows:

(*) To support students in taking political theory courses (Taught in Vietnamese at UEH)
3. Number of scholarships
100 outstanding scholarships are awarded, regardless of study level (undergraduate, master’s, PhD), including:
- 30 scholarships for international students from Southeast Asian countries and low-income countries (details available here)
- 70 scholarships for international students from other countries.
Scholarship eligibility criteria
4. Requirements

(**) Some academic programs require IELTS ≥ 6.0.
5. Scholarship selection principles
- Scholarships are awarded to applicants who meet the eligibility criteria in Section 4, based on the order in which complete applications are submitted, until all allocated scholarships are filled.
- If the number of qualified international applicants exceeds the available scholarships, the Department of Student Affairs will rank candidates based on: (1) Interview results; (2) Cumulative GPA from highest to lowest.

7. Scholarship terms and conditions
- Scholarships are granted for the maximum official duration of the program. Any extension or deferment may affect scholarship eligibility.
- Dormitory accommodation fees cannot be converted into cash.
- The scholarship does not cover academic service fees, course retakes, grade improvement courses, graduation requirements, or courses outside the official curriculum.
- Students must commit to completing the academic program and the required Vietnamese language certification. Failure to do so for personal reasons will require repayment of the full amount of support provided by UEH. Exceptional cases will be considered based on supporting documentation.
Note: If international students apply outside the official admission periods, UEH will continue to receive and review applications in coordination with relevant units, and the results will be considered for the next admission cycle.
