SCHOLARSHIP POLICY FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ENROLLED IN EXCHANGE PROGRAMS AT UEH
1. Eligible Applicants
- Partner university students: International students nominated by UEH partner universities to participate in an exchange program at UEH for at least three months (equivalent to approximately 8-10 credits).
- Free-mover international students: International students who are currently enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate programs and wish to participate in an exchange program at UEH for at least three months (equivalent to approximately 8–10 credits).
2. Scholarship value
UEH’s exchange scholarship applies equally to both categories (partner-nominated and free-mover students) and to all study levels (undergraduate and postgraduate). The scholarship includes:
- 100% tuition waiver for exchange study at UEH (minimum three months);
- Free dormitory;
- Living allowance of VND 2,600,000 per student per month (approximately USD 100 per month) during the study period at UEH.
3. Number of scholarships
100 scholarships per year, regardless of applicant category (partner or free-mover) or level of study (undergraduate or postgraduate).
4. Who can apply
- International students from UEH’s partner universities: Have an official nomination decision from the partner university.
- Other international students:
- Pass the interview conducted by UEH
- The current university of international students must be ranked within the Top 800+ QS World University Rankings or have equivalent international ranking recognition.
5. Requirements
- International students from UEH’s partner universities:
- Official nomination list from the partner university (including cumulative GPA).
- Scholarship nomination list from UEH.
- Interview results from UEH (if applicable).
- Other international students
- Certificate of enrollment or student ID card.
- Letter of recommendation from the current university.
- Official academic transcript (cumulative GPA).
- Interview results from UEH.

7. Scholarship award principles
- Scholarships are awarded in the order of nomination from UEH Member Colleges/Schools/Institutes or based on completed applications from free-mover international students, until all allocated scholarships are granted.
- In the final review round, if the number of applicants exceeds the remaining scholarships, UEH will prioritize as follows:
(1) Students nominated by UEH’s partner universities.
(2) Higher cumulative GPA.
(3) Level of study priority: PhD → Master’s → Bachelor’s.
If a scholarship recipient fails to fulfill academic obligations (e.g., failing courses or not attending classes), UEH will notify the partner university or the student’s home institution.
