With aspirations to become a key leading university in Economics, Administration and Law in Southeast Asia, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) has tirelessly worked to promote meaningful scientific research activities, renew training programs, improve facilities and implement timely policies to attract scientists, experts and learners. In particular, UEH is proud to announce our scholarship policies for international students.

These scholarships are available at Ho Chi Minh City Campuses and Vinh Long Campus in Mekong.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

  • International students who are not Vietnamese citizens.
  • Having received admissions to UEH full-time undergraduate program (including Standard and Advanced Programs).
  • Will commence the new academic year at time of scholarship awards.
  • Graduated from high school or equivalent.
  • Vietnamese language proficiency at B2 (4/6) or equivalent (for Standard Programs, Vietnamese instructions)
  • IELTS band 5.0 or above (for Advanced Programs, English instructions), or equivalent

In 2021 - 2022, UEH offers 100 Scholarships for Undergraduate International Students:

Distinction Scholarship:

100% tuition + accommodation fees (equivalent to $6,000 USD). Awarded throughout the official study period.
  • Meet all admissions requirements
  • GPA (or equivalent) senior year of high school is at least 9.0/10.0 (3.6/4.0)

Full Tuition Scholarship:

100% tuition + accommodation fees (equivalent to $6,000 USD). Evaluated annually.
  • Meet all admissions requirements
  • GPA (or equivalent) senior year of high school is at least 8.0/10.0 (3.2/4.0)

(*) Pathway:

  • First year: Meet the admission and scholarship requirements.
  • From the second year: The scholarship is renewed in case GPA of previous year is at least 8.0/10.0; or downgraded to Partial Tuition Scholarship if GPA of previous year is from 7.0 to 8.0/10.0

Partial Tuition Scholarship:

50% tuition + accommodation fees (equivalent to $4,100 USD). Evaluated annually.
  • Meet all admissions requirements.
  • GPA (or equivalent) senior year of high school is at least 7.0/10.0 (2.8/4.0)

Partial Tuition Scholarship:

50% tuition + accommodation fees (equivalent to $6,200 USD). Evaluated annually.

  • GPA (or equivalent) senior year of high school is at least 7.0/10.0 (2.8/4.0)

Applicants are considered based on academic achievement at high school from top to bottom until the amount of scholarships is met.

The scholarship is only applicable for the official training period of the program.

REGISTRATION TIME:

Applicants who meet requirements of the scholarship, please apply and submit all documents before September 30th, 2021

HOW TO APPLY:

We require official documents (notarized documents) submitted in English or in Vietnamese, including:

  1. Registration form (Please click here to download the form);
  2. High school diploma (verified copy in English, or in Vietnamese);
  3. High school academic transcripts/study record (verified copy in English, or in Vietnamese);
  4. Health certificate issued by the authorized bodies in your country or in Vietnam within the last 06 months;
  5. (For English-instruction program): Valid IELTS band 5.0 or above; or valid equivalent English language proficiency certificate. (For Vietnamese-instruction program): Vietnamese language proficiency certificate at B2 (level 4/6) or equivalent, according to the Vietnamese Competency Framework, issued by a competent educational institution;
  6. Verified copies of certificates on other achievements e.g.: gifted, expertise, research achievements, …etc. (if have)
  7. Copy of Passport (The passport has to be valid for the whole time studying in Vietnam; or valid at least 01 year more from your expected date of arrival in Vietnam).

Note: Who is not eligible for the scholarships:

  • Learners who are under the Exchange Treaty.
  • Learners who have been awarded another scholarship from the University or another institution to cover tuition fees (in whole or in part) to study at UEH.
  • Learners who have not completed the program within the official training period.

If you are not eligible for the scholarships but can be self-financed, please register for the courses from August 2nd – 27th, 2021 (before 16:30 GMT+7).
