EfD-Vietnam is one of the global Environment for Development (EfD) hubs within an international network of environmental economics policy institutes, the Environment for Development Initiative (EFD Initiative).

EfD-Vietnam is managed by the Economy & Environment Partnership for Southeast Asia (EEPSEA) at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH).

The EfD Initiative is a capacity-building programme in environmental economics focusing on research, policy interactions and academic programmes. The overall objective of EfD is to support poverty reduction and sustainable development by building environmental economics capacity in policy-making.

EfD-Vietnam aims to contribute to sustainable development in Vietnam by promoting environmental economics education and research based on knowledge integration and the development of analytical skills.
