Language Workshop: Communication in today's globalized world

Time: 9:00 - 10:30 on Thursday, March 23, 2023

Location: UEH English Zone

Effective communication has become more important as the world becomes more interconnected. And English is considered one of the global communication languages when over a part of the world's population uses this language.

To help UEHers have the opportunity to improve their English communication skills, the Department of Student Affairs and the Schools of Foreign Languages ​​are organising a workshop with the topic: “Communication in today's globalized world: The specific tips for Vietnamese speakers” in the series of periodic activities Language Workshop in UEH English Zone with the guest speaker: Dr. Ton Nu Van Anh, PhD in Linguistics at Macquarie University.

In this workshop, we will introduce some specific tips that Vietnamese people can use to communicate more effectively in today's globalized world, covering different aspects of communication, including speaking, listening, writing, and nonverbal communication. By paying attention to pronunciation, using appropriate body language and tone, practicing active listening, building vocabulary, and practicing regularly, English learners can confidently communicate more effectively with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
