UEH Awards 2020 - Assoc.Prof.Dr Bui Thanh Trang: Being a UEH lecturer has been delighted, being honored is even more joyful

That is one of the sharings of Assoc.Prof.Dr Bui Thanh Trang - Head of UEH School of International Business - Marketing - The Teacher who has just received the title of Lecturer of the Year at the Honoring Ceremony for Individuals who won titles and awards in 2020, awarded the decision to appoint Associate Professor year 2020 and signed OKRs of units.

On the afternoon of March 12, 2021, at Hall B1.302 (Campus B), the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) solemnly held the Honoring Ceremony for Individuals who won titles and awards in 2020, awarded the decision to appoint Associate Professor year 2020 and signed OKRs of units.

Attending the ceremony, on the side of the school leaders, there were Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - President of the School Council, Chairman of the Emulation and Commendation Council; Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President; Prof.Dr. Nguyen Trong Hoai - Vice President; Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Vice President; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet - Chairman of Advisory Council; Dr. Bui Quang Viet - Chairman of Labor Union. In addition, the program also has the participation of leaders of the school units, the teachers who won the titles and awards of the year 2020 and the teachers appointed as Associate Professors in 2020.

At the ceremony, the school respectively honored Top 10 Lecturers of the Year, Top 10 Management Officers of the Year, Top 10 Employees of the Year and Top 10 Excellent Scientific Research of the Year. Among which, 03 best Lecturers in 2020 are Assoc.Prof.Dr Bui Thanh Trang, Dr. Tran Thi Tuan Anh and Dr. Hoang Hai Yen; 03 best Management Officers in 2020: MSc. Nguyen Van Duong, MSc. Vo Ha Quang Dinh and Anh Le Dong Du; 03 best Employees in 2020: Mr. Le Quang Hung, MSc. Huynh Thi Ngoc Ngan and Mr. Bui Thanh Tung; 03 best Scientific Researchers in 2020: Dr. Nguyen Phuc Canh, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Phong Nguyen and MSc. Huynh Luu Duc Toan.

With outstanding efforts in leading the faculty to perform well in digital transformation, business cooperation, training, teaching,... and organize well online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic season, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Thanh Trang - Head of School of International Business - Marketing was awarded the title Lecturer of the Year.

With outstanding strides in quality improvement and ensuring the effective operation of the unit, the title of Management officer of the Year was awarded to the MSc. Nguyen Van Duong - Head of Department of Student Affairs.

With his outstanding efforts in his work at the Department of Information Technology, Mr. Le Quang Hung was honored as the Employee of the Year.

With unrivalled experience in publishing scientific products and continuous efforts in research (40 international articles, 84.317.25 hours of real scientific research), Dr. Nguyen Phuc Canh - Lecturer of School of Public Finance, was awarded the Excellent Scientific Research of the Year award.

Sharing the honor of being honored as Lecturer of the Year, Assoc.Prof.Dr Bui Thanh Trang said: Being a UEH lecturer has been delighted, being honored is even more joyful. In addition, the ceremony took place to award the decision to appoint the Associate Professor title in 2020 for 06 teachers: Dr. Tran Mai Dong, Head of Department of Human Resources; Dr. Nguyen Phong Nguyen, Deputy Head of Department of Research Administration - - International Relations; Dr. Phung Duc Nam, Head of Insurance and Financial Risk Management - School of Finance; Dr. Le Thi Phuong Vy, Head of Financial Investment - School of Finance; Dr. Pham Quang Huy, Head of Public Accounting - School of Accounting; Dr. Nguyen Quang Son, Lecturer of the Faculty of Physical Training.

On behalf of the Board of President, Prof.Dr. Su Dinh Thanh congratulated the teachers who were awarded the titles and awards of the year 2020 and awarded the title of Associate Professor. This is a reward in recognition of the efforts of teachers and officials in the past year, and is a good example for school officials to follow. In 2021, the school will implement the 5-year strategy, restructure UEH into a multi-disciplinary university, multi-field; UEH is determined to be named in Asia's Top 500 Best Universities Ranking soon. To make the goal a reality, he urges all officials to constantly improve their expertise, continue to develop their abilities and try to bring UEH to new heights.

Addressing directions for the year 2021, Prof.Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong emphasized that the activities that the university should focus on include: step by step restructuring the university from the establishment of the Schools to the UEH University; improve the quality of training in the form of blended-learning; basic accreditation of FIBAA standards, accreditation of school curriculum, status and ranking increase on rankings; increasing inviting enterprises and practical agencies to participate in research and consultation; enhancing academic reputation: promoting scientific research, international publication, applied research; mobilize scientists to contribute to Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong River Delta with short-term and long-term training programs; cooperation in the spirit of win-win with partners... All officials, learners are united, make great efforts to successfully implement key tasks, complete the signed OKRs goals.

The year 2021 marks UEH's 45th spring milestone, a pivotal year for a new journey to break through and reach out, bringing new opportunities for the university to the University of multidisciplinary and multi-disciplinary. Although knowing there will be many challenges ahead, but with a drastic leadership spirit, constantly innovating from the Leading Teachers; With the utmost dedication from the team of faculty, managers, scientists, staff, ... we believe that UEH will go further and further, always a pioneer in Vietnamese higher education innovation, maintained its position as a national key university and soon will be on the list of Top 500 best universities in Asia.
