UEH Student Science Research Festival 2020 - “PER ASPERA AD ASTRA - Through hardship to the stars”

Under the direction of the Department of Science Management - International Cooperation, the purpose of the "UEH Student Science Festival 2020" was to pay tribute to the teaching staff as well as winners of the following awards: "Scientific research student of 2019", "Young Researcher of 2019", and "Excellent subject topic UEH500 of 2019". In addition, the exhibition also helped students visualize the journey of scientific research, gave honorable awards, motivating them to become part of the journey to make UEH become a research – oriented university".

The exhibition displayed high-awarded scientific research topics to help students better understand what a scientific research journey was, creating a driving force to promote and bring scientific research values closer to the student community.

Attending the festival, it was an honor to welcome Dr. Pham Duong Phuong Thao - Deputy Head of Science Management Department - International Cooperation; Dr. Tran Thi Tuan Anh - Vice Dean of Faculty of Mathematics Statistics; Dr. Vo Tat Thang - Director of HAPRI Institute; MSc. Duong Minh Man - Secretary of the Youth Union; MSc. Nguyen Dinh Hoang Uyen - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union, Head of Study Board - Scientific Research - International Relations of the Youth Union, Head of the Organizing Committee .From the corporate side, there were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Thi - Head of Marketing Department of IMAP Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh branch; Ms. Le Bich Tran - ICAEW Market Development Director; Ms. Pham Quynh Tran - ICAEW Marketing Specialist; Ms. Truong Thi Thuy Van - Southern Region Director - FTMS Southern Regional Director; Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung - Representative of Phuong Nam Education Center ... together with teachers, delegates, entertainment guests, and more than 1000 students.

Opening the event, Dr. Pham Duong Phuong Thao - Deputy Head of Science Management Department - International Cooperation emphasized: “In recent times, scientific research awards have grown widely and received enthusiastic responses from students, becoming an intensive academic playground for UEH students who have a passion for research. With the support of the school and teachers, along with the continuous efforts of the students, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City is believed to achieve more, enriching the school’s traditions.”

The Organizing Committee sends flowers and commemorates the medal as a token of appreciation to the sponsors, FTMS, ICAEW, Phuong Nam Education and IMAP Vietnam, for their contributions to the success of this year's Festival and the development of scientific research movement at UEH.

Honoring teachers having made significant contributions to orient the movement of student scientific research.

Honoring students who won the prize "Scientific research students at ministerial level", "Young Economist UEH of 2019", "Excellent subject topic UEH500 of 2019".

There were 234 students participating in the event among which 91 topics won the prize “UEH Young Researcher of 2019”. Among 152 topics, 195 students of 131 topics were recognized and 51 topics won the award “The Excellent Topic UEH500 2019”. The gala was a success in that it honored the winners and spread fire to the next generation of students.
