Workshop Price appraisal activities in Vietnam in the context of industrial revolution 4.0

The year 2020 marks the 55th anniversary of the pricing industry in Vietnam and 40 years at UEH. Appraisal profession was established in 1997 and officially legalized since 2002 with the introduction of Ordinance No. 40/2002 / PL-UBTVQH10. Although still young compared to the history of formation and development in the world, in the past two decades, valuation activities have made many positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the country.

In recent years, the fourth industrial revolution has created a new era, affecting almost every sector in the economy. Through the support of technology, the digital era has created new opportunities for the development of appraisal industry in the world and in Vietnam. However, artificial intelligence, IoT, virtual reality or big data analytics also pose many challenges for current appraisers as well as training and providing human resources of price industry for future universities. Workshop of Valuation activities in the context of the industrial revolution 4.0 attracted attention from many different stakeholders in the field of prices appraisal.

Trinh Hong Thinh - Chairman and Director of Phuong Nam Consulting and Valuation Co., Ltd, MSc.Appraiser. Phan Nguyen Uyen Ha - Deputy Director of MHD Valuation Co., Ltd, MSc.Appraiser. Le Quoc Hung - Director of TMS Consulting Company Limited. On the organizers side, there is Dr. Pham Khanh Nam - Head of Economics Department, MSc. Nguyen Quynh Hoa - Head of Valuation Department - Head of the Organizing Committee, MSc. Nguyen Hoang Bao - Head of Planning - Investment - Development - Director of Cedzo Center - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee.

Opening the seminar, MSc.Appraiser. Ms. Phan Thi Chau - General Director of Vy Long Joint Stock Company - Vice Chairman of Vietnam Patent Association presented a presentation on Intellectual Property Management: A new tool in business operations of startups.

At the seminar, round table appraised prices with the participation of 4 speakers: MSc.Appraiser. Nguyen Ngoc Chau, Ms. Phan Thi Chau, MSc.Appraiser. Trinh Hong Thinh, MSc. Nguyen Quynh Hoa, with the coordination of MSc.Appraiser. Nguyen Kim Duc - Lecturer in Valuation subject. During the discussion session, all 04 speakers and guests shared openly about the issues posed for the appraisal profession in Vietnam in the past time as well as new directions in the future.
