Workshop on “Roles of Case Study in Effective Teaching and Learning”

From 19th to 22nd November 2018, at Campus 59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) in cooperation with the JEUL ERASMUS + Project held the workshop on "Roles of Case Study in Effective Teaching and Learning". The workshop welcomed 42 lecturers and researchers from domestic and international partner universities.

Attending the workshop, on the JEUL ERASMUS+ Project’s side were Prof. Pompella Maurizio from University of Siena - Italy, Prof. Roman Mantousek from University of Nottingham, 03 professors from Skoda Auto University - Czech Republic, 03 professors from University of Kent - UK, 03 professors from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA) from China, 08 lecturers from Banking University Ho Chi Minh City (BUH). On the guests’ side were 02 representatives from Techcombank and 02 representatives from Ho Chi Minh City Security Corporation,  Professors, Associate Professors, Doctors of the Swiss–ASEAN Learning and Teaching (SALT) from Swiss, Philippines, Malaysia,  Vietnam. On the UEH’s side were Prof. Nguyen Trong Hoai - Vice President,  Dr. Tran Mai Dong - Head of the Department of Research Administration and International Relations, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh - Project Manager at UEH and lectures participating in the project.

The purpose of the workshop is to share between partner universities the method of writing case study and how to teach case study. The workshop has the contribution of 10 presentations, including three leading speakers: Prof. Judy Cohen and Prof. Soo Hee Lee - University of Kent, Prof. Roman Mantousek - Nottingham University. The presentations have made valuable contributions and shared about the case study teaching methods, combining the practicality to help partner universities, especially Vietnamese and Chinese Universities, improve development and apply case study in teaching and learning.

The workshop is one of these events of JEUL Erasmus Plus Project, funded by the European Commission to promote “Joint Enterprise University Learning” for the partner universities including 05 European Universities, 02 universities in China and 02 Vietnamese Universities - the University of Economics HCMC and Banking University HCMC (UEH and BUH).
