International Scientific Conference “Resilience by Technology and Design – RTD”

The first half of 2022 has witnessed the rapid adaptation and the recovery of the global economy after a period of being severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. A lot of experts believe that it is a natural and inherent effect of socio-economic activities after a period of repression, the boom and rapid recovery are understandable. The fact that the space of that growth engine, currently, being been significantly narrowed, along with potential risks and remaining difficulties and challenges, have posed many big problems for the economies of the countries in the next period.

The most important question is which the main engine to promote the development of economies in the new era is.

Most points discussed recently are whether innovation associated with design thinking and the application of new technologies is the driving force behind socio-economic processes in the faster, more powerful and more efficient way. That is also the new driving force to promote developed economies in the 4.0 era.

In addition, enhancing the resilience of businesses with science, technology and design solutions is one of the ‘hot’ topics currently attracting the attention of scientists, academics, experts, authors and business people in Vietnam as well as those around the world.

Technology and Design - The Engine of Recovery and Growth in a New Era

In accordance with this trend, UEH School of Technology and Design - University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH College of Technology and Design) together with domestic and foreign partners organizes the International Scientific Conference “Resilience by Technology and Design – RTD” for the first time with “Smart Living” Theme.

This is a scientific forum for the discussions regarding strengthening community resilience through the applications of Technology and Human-Centered Design, aiming for a sustainable future. With that mission, the RTD International Science Conference in 2022 with the theme “Smart Living” aims to spread knowledge and propose tools and solutions for technology and human-centered design, increasing enhance flexibility, adaptability as well as leading a smart life in the context of a changing world.

We do believe that it will be a new growth and development engine for the Vietnamese economy as well as those of other countries in the new era.

International Scientific Conference RTD 2022 - Smart Living bringing not only scientific value but also high practicality and application

The International Scientific Conference RTD 2022 - Smart Living has received great attention from a large number of domestic and foreign researchers, scholars, companies and businesses because the topic implies not only scientific value but also scientific, practical and highly applicable values. These include: Designing resilience in architecture and smart cities; Recovery technology; Design and technology for unity and Innovation – driving the transition to resilient communities.

Within the framework of the conference, there will also be exchanges, cooperation, science, engineering - technology transfer and development of solutions, technology application, design and innovation.

The Scientific Council of the RTD Conference 2022 has the participation of more than 30 members who are scientists from many countries around the world listed as Korea, India, Australia, Thailand, Italy and France. Those papers meeting the requirements of the Conference will be published in the Proceedings of the International Conference. Especially, the quality articles at this Conference will be considered and published in prestigious journals, including: Journal of Asian Business and Economic Research (JABES), International Journal of Building, Urban, Interior and Landscape Technology (BUILT), Evaluation Review – Sage Journals, Australasian Marketing Journal - SAGE Journals.
