UEH Welcomes Delegation from the Embassy of France in Vietnam to Advance International Education and Research Collaboration

On 20 July 2026, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) welcomed a delegation from the Embassy of France in Vietnam for a working session to discuss strategic directions for strengthening cooperation in education, research, and academic exchange between Vietnam and France.

Representing the French delegation were Mr. Eric Soulier, Counsellor for Culture and Cooperation, Embassy of France in Vietnam, and Mr. Andréa Taglioni, Officer for Scientific and Academic Cooperation, Embassy of France in Vietnam.

Representing UEH were Assoc. Prof. Bui Quang Hung, President of UEH; Assoc. Prof. Pham Khanh Nam, Head of the Department of Research - Development and Global Engagement; and Dr. Dinh Tien Minh, Head of the Marketing subject, School of International Business and Marketing, UEH College of Business.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the French Vietnamese School of Management (CFVG), including Assoc. Prof. Fabien De Geuser, Co-Director of CFVG, and Assoc. Prof. Ho Viet Tien, Co-Director of CFVG in Ho Chi Minh City.. 

CFVG - A Strategic Bridge for Vietnam–France Educational Cooperation

During the meeting, the participants discussed strategic directions for strengthening educational and research collaboration between the two countries. Building on nearly 35 years of CFVG's establishment and development, the French delegation expressed strong confidence in the Center's future potential and reaffirmed that CFVG is one of the three flagship projects of the Embassy of France in Vietnam for the coming years.

Accordingly, the French side expressed its desire to work closely with UEH, the host institution of CFVG in Ho Chi Minh City, to further enhance the Center's role and reputation by promoting French educational programs in Vietnam, fostering academic, research, and cultural exchanges between faculty members and learners from both countries, and strengthening collaboration among relevant stakeholders.

UEH Supports the Development of a Multidisciplinary International Education Model

UEH expressed its strong support for the proposed directions of cooperation and reaffirmed its commitment to accompanying CFVG in its continued development as a multidisciplinary, multi-level (Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral), and multilingual education center. This vision is fully aligned with the internationalization strategy of Vietnam's Ministry of Education and Training, contributing to the enhancement of human resource quality and the advancement of Vietnam-France educational cooperation in the years ahead.

The meeting further strengthened the long-standing partnership between UEH and its French partners while opening new avenues for collaboration in education, research, and international academic development. By leveraging CFVG's role as a symbol of Vietnam–France educational cooperation, UEH looks forward to working closely with its partners to build a multidisciplinary, multicultural, and globally connected academic environment that enhances human capital, advances knowledge exchange, and promotes the sustainable development of higher education in an increasingly internationalized world.
