International Workshop “Pathways to International Accreditation and Sustainability”

The international conference titled “Pathways to International Accreditation and Sustainability” is co-organized among University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), FIBAA (Germany) and Hobéon (Netherlands).

The event is expected to create a platform for connection and interaction among higher education institutions in Vietnam that have been striving to enhance their education quality and to prepare for international recognition. What is more special, the organizers, on this occasion, will introduce the FIBAA Quality Seal "Excellence in Digital Education"® and the quality standard (Sustainability in Higher Education) by Hobéon.

FIBAA is a German quality assurance organization specializing in the accreditation and the certification of educational programs and educational institutions. Recognized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training as an international accreditation organization, FIBAA has conducted more than 70 program accreditations and numerous institutional accreditation processes at Vietnamese Universities since 2019. * Introduction regarding University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH)

Putting the Training pillar as the focus of the Multidisciplinary and Sustainable University strategy, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) identifies educational quality assessment as a key task and regularly self-assesses and improves quality to meet the educational quality assessment standards of prestigious domestic and international accreditation organizations.

Therefore, the University has chosen FIBAA Education Quality Assessment Organization as a partner for the 2020 – 2025 period. Up to the current time, UEH has had 19 training programs recognized as meeting European FIBAA standards and 7 training programs recognized as meeting AUN standards. Concurrently, UEH is the first higher education institution in Vietnam to achieve international accreditation at the FIBAA Educational Institution level.

UEH has been pioneering the implementation of the Sustainable University Strategy, integrating knowledge and principles of sustainable action into the 5 strategic pillars of Training - Research - Administration - Operation - Community Connection, aiming to implement the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.
