On January 3, 2025, the 5th Anniversary Ceremony (December 4, 2019 - December 4, 2024) of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City Branch in Vinh Long (UEH Vinh Long) with the theme "Journey for a sustainable Mekong" was solemnly held in Vinh Long Province. This was also the official milestone of UEH Vinh Long's transformation with a larger stature and scale - UEH Mekong for a sustainable Mekong.

The year 2024 marked a remarkable milestone in the development of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) as it entered the Top 501-600 of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for 2025 and the Top 650 globally, along with the Top 162 in Asia for Sustainable Universities in 2025 (QS World Ranking Sustainability 2025). This success was driven by the insightful and flexible leadership of the Board of Directors, coupled with the relentless efforts, unity, and dedication of the entire staff and faculty. UEH achieved numerous positive and notable outcomes in education, scientific research, and governance. To strengthen and expand collaborative relationships in training, fostering, and developing high-quality human resources for the international labor market, especially in the Southeast Asian market, while providing theoretical and practical training support for students of the School of Banking (SOB) at COB, UEH, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between COB (UEH) and SEA Bridge for the 2024–2027 period was held on the morning of December 11, 2024. The event occurred in Room B1-203, Campus B - 279 Nguyen Tri Phuong Street, Ward 5, District 10, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH).
