A Symphony of Togetherness: The Sound of Unity

As a green space for UEHers to provide entertaining musical performances while advancing their proficiency in foreign languages, Acoustic Show: The Sound of Unity was successfully co-hosted by the Department of Student Affairs (DSA) and The School of Banking (SOB) on May 17, 2023 at UEH English Zone.

With "The Sound of Unity" as its chosen theme, the event aims to bring a collection of songs that highlight the global culture, fostering unity among people and between nations, they also promote the idea of a friendly and peaceful world.

Three main chapters of the Acoustic Show were presented, one for each of the three countries OC wants its students to visit.

First Chapter: "Music Land"

Asia is the first continent you encounter; it is the land of music, where each country's music has its distinct colors. From mellow ballads to upbeat, happy music, Asian music will be the breeze that carries you to the land. Three extremely well-known and iconic locations in this country - Korea, China, and Thailand - were visited by the students during their discovery flight, besides lovely and deep vocalists alternately performing the songs, creating an impressive opening atmosphere.

The second chapter, "Music Convergence,"

As the plane said goodbye to idyllic Asia, it took off once more, carrying students to the continents of Europe and America, known as the convergence of music. Students will be able to transition from the gentle, deep emotions of timeless songs to sublimated feelings of youthful, vibrant melodies when they arrive at this chapter. Students can listen to timeless melodies and record the eras while traveling through three nations, each with a thriving music scene. The UK is home to the world's biggest and best music scene, while France is known for its soft, romantic music. The pop and rock genres are expanding worldwide, and this music reflects a young, energetic generation that is creative and dynamic. Spain offers incredibly sensual and vibrant melodies that are influenced by well-known dances from this nation, utterly distinct from the two above.

"Musical Harmony" is the third chapter.

The organizers have selected songs with elements of both Western and Eastern influences or songs with language splices from the two nations to prime the audience for the final chapter, which is also the most explosive. Students are given a vision of a world with friendship, peace, and an international exchange of cultures with “Hello Viet Nam’, “Dreamers” and “See Tình”.

With more than 100 students signed up, the flight with the sign "The Sound of Unity" has successfully completed its mission by bringing passengers on an emotional, thrilling, and profound flight and carrying a meaningful message.
