"Accompanying UEH to take care of bright and healthy eyes" Program for all UEH officials and employees

On October 18 - 19, 2023 at Campus A (59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu, District 3), Committee for Women's Advancement, Union of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) coordinated with Orient International Eye Center to organize the program "Accompanying UEH to take care of bright and healthy eyes" for all officials and employees. This was an activity to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2023).

Overview of the program

Attending the program, from POrient International Eye Center, was Specialist Level II, Dr. Phan Tien Hy - Specialist Director; Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Phuong - Executive Director; along with Directors, Heads of Functional Departments and doctors and technicians. On behalf of UEH, there was Dr. Nguyen Thien Duy - Chairman of UEH Union, Deputy Head of UEH Women's Advancement Committee; with members of the UEH Women's Advancement Committee and the UEH Women's Union Committee.

Opening the program, Dr. Nguyen Thien Duy - Chairman of UEH Union - sent wishes to UEH female officials: "On the occasion of Vietnamese Women's Day October 20, on behalf of UEH leaders, I sincerely send wishes to UEH female officials and employees to be always healthy, happy, have a lot of joy and continue to accompany and contribute to the strong development of UEH Multi-disciplinary University in the future.”

Within the framework of the program, Specialist Level I . Nguyen Duc Trong - Head of the Refraction Department - shared knowledge regarding common eye diseases, how to prevent and take care of the eyes, especially to help officials and employees be more aware of the importance of regular eye examinations and monitoring.

After useful knowledge from Specialist Level I, Dr. Nguyen Duc Trong, a team of highly qualified doctors and refractive technicians from Orient International Eye Center conducted general eye examinations, measured vision, measured refraction, and took screening photos of the eyes on a system of examination microscopes and fundus cameras, and consultation on issues related to eye pathology for more than 300 officials and employees.

After the eye examination activities for officials and workers, UEH and Orient International Eye Center will continue to coordinate in implementing the program "Accompanying UEH to care for bright and healthy eyes" for all students, expected to be held in late October and early November 2023.
