Delegates expressing opinions at the conference

At the conference, Vinh Long Campus received many practical opinions on career orientation and consulting from teachers of high schools in provinces.

Associate Professor Bui Quang Hung - Deputy Director of UEH University and Director of Vinh Long Campus - concluded: "With a population of about 20 million people, 10 million people are currently of working age, of which only 10% are high-quality human resources in the Mekong Delta. UEH recognizes that it has a responsibility to society in training high-quality human resources to serve the Mekong Delta. Along with the trend of many open universities in provinces, with the responsibility of a national key public university, with the consent of the Ministry of Education and Training, Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee and Departments, UEH established Vinh Long Campus with the mission of contributing high-quality human resources to the Mekong Delta region, which creates conditions and a quality learning environment equivalent to Ho Chi Minh City for children in the Southwest region. UEH Vinh Long acknowledges the teachers' comments on enhancing career orientation and counseling for Mekong Delta students. Consulting here is not admission consulting but consulting to help students choose a career that suits their personal abilities and interests. UEH has set up a toolkit based on tests of MBTI and HOLLAND, thereby, helping students determine their appropriate tendency to be able to choose the correct career. Regarding training quality, with the motto of one quality - one degree - one brand, UEH Vinh Long has unified training programs of UEH. UEH will try to continue accompanying high schools, agencies, and departments to organize competitions such as ROBOCON, competitions on startups and innovation, etc. to maintain the mission of contributing high-quality human resources for the Mekong Delta region in particular and the country in general".

Training on "Sowing the seeds of happiness in schools" with the talk of one of the leading experts in the field of Vietnamese psychology -  Dr. To Nhi A

Dr. To Nhi A presenting the topic "Sowing the seeds of happiness in schools"

Each school is a miniature society, and building a happy school is an important and meaningful goal in education. A happy school not only ensures the provision of knowledge but also sets the goal of comprehensive development for students, creating a positive culture, and a strong academic and social community where people can share ideas, experiences, joy, and happiness.

To build a happy school, managers must build a happy process, including a happy working, happy teaching, happy people, etc. Criteria for evaluating happiness is reflected in all factors at school that create "balance". This is the key factor that brings happiness according to the United Nations assessment.

Dr. To Nhi A stated: “Building a happy school is not about building reinforced concrete! The nature and destination of a happy school is that the psychological subject belonging to that school must have a balanced psychological state to operate a positive learning-working process, aiming for development and self-perfection. Therefore, building a happy school cannot be separated from other familiar core issues of educational activities: teacher capacity - school resources - student-centered - close coordination with educational forces, etc."

The topic was shared with many exciting activities among high school teachers in the Mekong Delta provinces. This was an opportunity for teachers at high schools to discuss with one of the leading psychologists in the field, from which teachers could build a happy school at the school they were working at.

Representatives of the program organizing committee, Mr. Trinh Van Ngoan - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Vinh Long Province - sending his deep thanks to Dr. To Nhi A for accepting the invitation to share the topic "Sowing the seeds of happiness in schools"

The thematic training "Instructions for reading financial statements and annual school settlements" and "Some points to note when developing internal spending regulations for schools according to Decree 60" attracted a lot of attention from teachers thanks to their importance and necessity in schools. Through the program, teachers could share information, skills, and notes related to financial reporting, annual settlement, and internal spending regulations. This would be useful knowledge to help teachers more easily read financial reports as well as annual settlements and avoid errors in the process of building spending regulations for their units.
