Overview of the Closing Ceremony

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Vice President of UEH - remarked: “To design a training program that is close to the socio-economic development practice of Kien Giang province, UEH conducted in-depth interviews with provincial leaders of departments, agencies and sectors; thereby, 9 topics were developed, focusing on enhancing competitiveness, planning sustainable development policies, leading innovation, digital transformation in the public sector, high-quality eco-tourism, national and international sea and island tourism for Phu Quoc, and high-tech agriculture associated with market linkages. After 9-day training, the trainees studied seriously and presented their enthusiasm, with many positive signals from their evaluations. Although they were very busy with their works at the unit, you - the learners - have spent their precious time attending the class, studying seriously, and enthusiastically discussing with the lecturers on resolving short-term difficulties and challenges as well as setting a long-term vision for the development of Kien Giang Province."

On behalf of UEH, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai expressed his deep gratitude to the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee and the Kien Giang Provincial Political School for their support and facilitation of the success of the course. On this occasion, UEH was proud to share its outstanding achievements and rankings domestically and internationally listed as Top 01 in economics, business, and law schools and Top 7 best universities in Vietnam (According to Webometrics Rankings 2023); Top 301+ Best Universities in Asia in 2024 (QS Asia University Rankings 2024); Top 301-400 Universities contributing to 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations according to The Impact Rankings 2024. In particular, the Top 501-600 Best Universities in the world in 2025 according to THE rankings, affirms the continuous efforts to build a multidisciplinary, multi-field university model, towards sustainable development and accompanying the development goals of localities.

At the Closing Ceremony, the Organizing Committee of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee highly appreciated the results achieved from the training course organized by UEH. The Organizing Committee emphasized that the training and the fostering of leaders and managers is always focused on by Kien Giang Province, considering this a core factor to enhance competitiveness and sustainable development for localities in the Mekong Delta region. The training course conducted by UEH has illustrated the initiative and the professionalism right from the stages of surveying, designing the program, and selecting lecturers leading the field to the methodical coordination of organization, helping the course to take place successfully. In particular, UEH has built a course with a creative training format, focusing on not only the lectures but also creating an open discussion space, where lecturers and students can together analyze and solve specific problems of each industry and field. This interaction helps students master knowledge and understand how to apply it in practice. In particular, the Provincial Party Organizing Committee praised the learning results with more than 90% of survey responses from students highly appreciating the quality of the program's content, with many contents rated at 100%.

The Organizing Committee of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee also encouraged the trainees to flexibly and creatively apply the knowledge and skills they have learned to each of their positions to promote the potential of the industry and the locality. Concurrently, the representative of the Organizing Committee emphasized the importance of maintaining the spirit of self-study, continuously improving skills and knowledge, considering this a continuous task for officials to meet the requirements and challenges of the new era, contributing to building Kien Giang to develop strongly and sustainably.
