The International Conference “Resilience by Technology and Design” 2026 (RTD 2026), organized by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) - College of Technology and Design, UEH Mekong, and UEH Nexus Nha Trang in collaboration with international partners, is scheduled from July 15 to July 20, 2026. As part of the conference, the sub-theme “FutureScape: Adaptation and Social Innovation” will be hosted at UEH Mekong on July 17, 2026.

The International Scientific Conference “Resilience by Technology and Design” (RTD) is held biennially as a reputable interdisciplinary academic forum, bringing together researchers, experts, and enterprises from Viet Nam and abroad.

In 2026, under the theme “FutureScape – Designing the Future” the conference will focus on the role of emerging technologies and design in shaping sustainable ecosystems, with the aim of addressing social and environmental challenges as well as promoting smart urban development. RTD 2026 will be held across three strategic UEH hubs: Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong (UEH Mekong), and Nha Trang (UEH Nexus), reflecting UEH’s orientation toward connecting knowledge, technology, and community within its multi-campus development strategy.

At UEH Mekong, the conference will feature the sub-theme “FutureScape – Adaptation and Social Innovation”. This sub-theme aims to discuss the role of technology, design, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and social innovation in strengthening adaptive capacity, promoting sustainable development, and shaping the future of the Mekong Delta region.

In the morning, the conference will include the Opening Session, discussions with local leaders, and three parallel sessions covering the following themes:

1. Systemic climate adaptation and community design.

2. Artificial intelligence and innovation ecosystems.

3. Environment: Environmental quality and health in the era of energy transition.

In the afternoon, four parallel sessions will take place, featuring more than twelve research presentations focusing on the following themes:

1. Innovation, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development.

2. Sustainable cities.

3. Data analytics and sustainable development.

4. Co-creation, technology, and smart cities.

In addition to the scientific presentation sessions, the conference will offer multidisciplinary perspectives through a series of Keynote Speeches delivered by international scholars and experts. These speeches will focus on topics such as sustainable housing, urban design, coastal ecosystem restoration, agricultural transformation, green infrastructure development, and the enhancement of regional cooperation in the Mekong Delta.

Venue: UEH Mekong (1B Nguyen Trung Truc Street, Tan Hanh Ward, Vinh Long Province).

Guest reception and experiential activities at UEH Mekong will begin at 7:30 AM.
