45 years of sustainable development

 

With more than 45 years of establishment and development, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) is a prestigious public university, conducting training, research and multi-disciplinary and multi-field consultancy in economics, business, law, public management, technology, and design. UEH is headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City and has Mekong Delta Regional Campus located in Vinh Long Province. UEH has been carrying out the mission of training highly-qualified human resources, researching, consulting and transferring science and technology in Vietnam. UEH is also one pioneering university in innovation, prestige and complete integration with advanced higher education in the world. In this internationally-integrated process, UEH is in Top 25 Performing Universities in knowledge transferring fields in accordance with "Income from Continuous Professional Development" Standard; The only economics-field university included in QS World University Rankings Asia (QS 601+ Asia) as well as named in various other reputable university rankings worldwide.

 

Green and smart Campus has just been put into use at UEH in 2021

 

In 2021-2030 period, UEH has officially deployed restructured strategies towards a multi-disciplinary and sustainable university reputable in Asia. From leading economics, management, and law fields in Vietnam, UEH has become a multi-disciplinary and multi-field university in economics, business - management, social sciences, and technology and design which takes the active contribution to the community and society as an operation and development foundation.

 

Training highly qualified human resources for Nam Trung Bo - Tay Nguyen Region

According to Politburo’s Conclusion No. 53 issued on construction and development of Khanh Hoa Province to 2020 and vision to 2030, Khanh Hoa would become the center and play the driving role of Duyen Hai Nam Trung Bo - Tay Nguyen. Resolution of 18th Provincial Communist Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term affirmed the goal of turning Khanh Hoa into a marine economic, major tourist and service center by 2025; developing comprehensively in all fields and becoming a municipality directly under Central Government by 2030. Meanwhile, developing high-quality human resources; promoting science-technology application; innovating and improving labor productivity; boosting innovative start-ups are key breakthroughs in 2020 - 2025 period.

 

With the role and mission of a national key public university, which is reliable and qualified in training high-quality human resources, UEH will establish and launch operation a training and research institution oriented to Nha Trang Campus. UEH Nha Trang establishment is an appropriate and necessary step for socio-economic development in Khanh Hoa and Nam Trung Bo - Tay Nguyen Region. UEH Nha Trang will become a credibly training, scientific research, application and consulting center in the country and the region, accompanying the authorities and people of Khanh Hoa province as well as Tay Nguyen and Central coastal provinces with regionally economic and social evolving mission.

Creating a training and research space in Nha Trang together with UEH

 

Being supported and facilitated by Khanh Hoa Province, UEH Nha Trang will be located on a 2,1-hectare land in Bac Hon Ong school (training and vocational area) next to Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted and Provincial School of Politics. 

 

In order to meet expectations of Khanh Hoa province’s leaders and people, UEH Nha Trang sets the requirements of being standardized from the beginning with an optimal architectural design plan and contemporary dynamic, creative, green, and sustainable organizing space. This is a place both to train high-quality human resources for Nam Trung Bo and Tay Nguyen and to attract the concerns of scientists, domestic and international experts while coming to work and travel in Nha Trang.

 

Following that spirit, UEH organizes Architectural Plan Competition for Training and Research Institution (oriented as UEH Campus) in Nha Trang, which aims to gather new and modern ideas and architectural plans suitable to the meaning and the role of the project and our UEH enthusiasm. The contest will be hosted by Provincial Association of Architects with leading scientists and educators. Khanh Hoa experiential architects, on behalf of UEH, are going to choose the plan as the foundation initializing highly-qualified UEH training and knowledgeable space formula in Nha Trang.
