Equal Voice 2023 - Promoting Gender Equality

From October 27, 2023 to November 18, 2023, the UEH Dormitory Management Board organized an online multiple-choice contest on gender equality for UEH students with the theme "Equal Voice - Promoting Gender Equality" and successfully attracted more than 4,700 participants from UEH students.

Equal Voice 2023 was organized to propagate, to disseminate, to educate, and to raise awareness, knowledge, skills, and sense of law observance for students on minimizing and preventing gender-based violations and gender equality, aiming to change individual behaviors. At the same time, it raised awareness about gender equality issues and eliminated gender stereotypes in the learning environment as well as in the lives of students.

Students could participate in the online exam on the platform: http://tracnghiemonline.youth.ueh.edu.vn

Each participating student would answer 30 questions within 30 minutes. Based on the number of correct answers, the total time to complete the test and the earliest time to participate in the exam were the basis for ranking.

After a memorable 22-day journey, Equal Voice 2023 officially ended, the contest has successfully spread to UEH students and attracted 4,784 students in total. In particular, the Organizing Committee hoped to convey the message "Eliminating barriers, building a world of equality and opportunities for all genders. Along with that are preliminary steps that help shape the path and ideology on the journey of promoting "gender equality" to students. Towards the set goal, the Organizing Committee launched the contest to promote knowledge, and wish to share messages from the empathy of UEH students and how they apply knowledge into action in life to reach the greater goal of gender equality.

The contest successfully influenced the awareness of a large number of students. Not only do they simply participate and win prizes in the contest but also summarize useful information for themself in weekly communication articles, thereby, stepping out of their limited cognitive frameworks about gender and together contributing to eliminating prejudices in the learning environment in particular and in life in general.
