"Happy UEH Challenge" Poster Exhibition: The UEHer Community Fosters a Happy University

"Happiness is not a destination, but a journey that every UEHer creates together." The "Happy UEH Challenge" Poster Exhibition (Phase 3), part of the "Strengthening a Creative Culture for a Happy University" series, serves as a vivid testament to this journey—a place where the creative, humanistic, and sustainable ideas of the UEHer community converge, spread, and become a source of collective pride.

The selected posters were categorized into three main themes, reflecting the diversity of solutions and the consensus in vision for a happy UEH:

Mental Health Care & Emotional Balance

UEH Zero Stress: Developed using a 3-step thinking method (Noticing - Sensemaking - Experimenting) and centered around UEH's five cultural values. Initiatives include Happy Lab, Happy App, Digital Workplace (innovation); Happy Hub, Mental Health Week (sustainability); the UEH Happiness Network, internal clubs (connection); Coaching Culture, Happy Hotline (dedication); and Zero Stress Day, Happiness Ambassadors, and the "1,000 Smiles" campaign (inspiration).

Student Counseling Center: A hub that not only provides counseling but also establishes a dedicated personnel system, confidentiality protocols, collaboration with external experts, and raises community awareness.

UEH Meditation Space: A mindfulness meditation space located at Campus B, featuring a booking app, with a planned three-month pilot. It will be accompanied by mindfulness classes for faculty and the integration of "mindful teaching" practices.

UEH Happy Campus Campaign - Happy Learning, Sustainable Connection: Establishes a Wellness Center, Happy Corners, and a mental health hotline. The campaign emphasizes the message "You are never alone," linking mental well-being with soft skills training.

Green Environment - Sustainable Lifestyle

UEH Happy Bike - Happy Riding, Healthy Living: A public bicycle-sharing model with QR code-based rental, providing fast, green, and convenient transportation. It addresses the difficulty of traveling between campuses while building the image of a "Green - Happy - Sustainable University."

Connecting for a Happy University: Creates "green relaxation corners," "digital detox" spaces, "emotion boards," a "Happy Hour," and a network of "Happiness Ambassadors" to spread a culture of care throughout the university.

Unlock Endless Happiness: An ecosystem of amenities including a gym, reading room, recreation room, stress-relief room, a connecting canteen (with coffee and tea), a free food pantry, and a lactation room, emphasizing investment in both physical and mental health.
Policy, Measurement, and Sustainable Development

UEH Happy Campus - A Happy & Sustainable University: Develops the UHI (University Happiness Index) with five indicator groups (learning, mental health, physical health, social connection, and sustainable environment), benchmarked against the OECD Well-being Indicators. Regular surveys and tracking via a Happiness App will inform the design of improvement policies.
