Inspiring Sustainability Initiatives Exhibition - Multi-sector Sustainability Inspiring Space

Within the framework of the International Conference "Sustainable University Development: Opportunities and Challenges" (SUDOC), University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) organized the Inspiring Sustainability Initiatives Exhibition to display products /model/multi-field sustainable action program from December 7th to 9th, 2022 at lobby B1, campus B - UEH.

The Inspiring Sustainability Initiatives exhibition is an inspiring space that showcases sustainable products/projects/action programs in various fields from zero-waste schools, sustainable fashion, sustainable packaging, sustainable banking, ESG/CSR in business to emphasize the role of sustainable development in the fields and efforts of each partner.

With the motto "unlimited connection", the exhibition is an open space for organizations, businesses, and associations of sustainable action projects and programs that impact the community and are interested in Sustainable Development. Especially, representatives of schools across the country, learners, students, and young generations visited to learn about sustainable development in many fields. The Inspiring Sustainability Initiatives exhibition was held from 9:00 to 16:30, December 07 - 09, 2022 at Hall B1 - UEH, 279 Nguyen Tri Phuong, Ward 5, District 10.

 

Exploring the Inspiring Sustainability Initiatives exhibition booths

  • Deploying ESG/CSR at Enterprises - Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ): During 35 years of establishment and development, Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company - PNJ has always been innovative in bringing exquisite products with real value to honor the beauty of people and life. Moreover, with the vision of "Becoming the leading Asian company in jewellery making and retailing beauty-honouring products, reaching out to the world", PNJ is gradually honouring Vietnam's jewellery industry in the world’s jewels map. At the exhibition, PNJ would bring a space to share about the company's ESG/CSR activities such as PNJ Shelter, 0VND booth, spreading the recruitment brand to students and displaying eye-catching sustainable jewellery products.

  • Art paintings from recycling - UEH School of Media and Design (SMD): Recycling old furniture is an increasingly widespread trend, not only contributing to environmental protection but many manual and fashion products are made from recycled materials, from old items also have stories about nature and people, in which art paintings from recycled fabrics are also one of the art products worth mentioning. With those meaningful values, SMD will bring unique creative paintings and the beauty of art from sustainable development.

  • Sustainable Packaging - TBC Ball Vietnam: A joint venture between Ball Corporation (USA) and Thai Beverage Can Limited - TBC (Thailand) is responsible for providing innovative sustainable aluminium cans to the Vietnamese beverage and beer market and at the same time exporting to many countries in the region. At the exhibition, TBC Ball would share images of circular economy models in Vietnam's F&B industry and display sustainable products/packaging.

  • Sustainable Bank - OCB: In 2022, Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OCB) was honored by Global Brands Magazine in two important award categories, including "Best Digital Bank Brand - Vietnam 2022" and “Excellence in Retail Banking – Vietnam 2022”. Coming to the exhibition, OCB would bring a sharing space about the sustainable development model through the early implementation of Basel III application, a comprehensive digital transformation model, constantly innovating and creating to optimize customer experience and streamline processes, reducing paperwork and awards of IFC - towards the community through green credit activities.

  • Zero Waste School - Zero Waste Alliance Vietnam: This is an alliance of NGOs, non-profit groups, universities, and businesses working toward a sustainable Vietnam. With activities such as Recycling, Reducing, reusing, redesigning waste management… The Alliance has spread a positive lifestyle about ZeroWaste, helping to improve young people's awareness of the future environment. As proof, the space at Zero Waste area will display models of Sustainable Schools throughout Vietnam and the UEH Zero Waste Project at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, sustainable and environmentally friendly products of Union-affiliated units.

  • Sustainable University - UEH: This will be a space to display UEH's models of sustainable projects/action programs, such as: UEH Zero Waste Campus project, UEH Global Learning project, and academic brand communication program – Spreading research and applied knowledge to the community with the message “Research Contribution For All”, the program Connecting the community - Spreading knowledge - Sustainable action, Giving to UEH program. In addition, UEH also brings environmentally friendly products, reducing plastic waste from the UEH Community Shop Project.

Towards the goal of sustainable development, the Inspiring Sustainability Initiatives exhibition is a colourful, multi-sectoral sustainable slice; this is one of the inspirational spaces for the community that pioneers the change for sustainable development in 2022.
