International Exchange Scholarships for UEH Students: Decoding the Exciting Experiences You Can't Miss

The international exchange scholarship program for UEH students, implemented by UEH in collaboration with leading universities in Asia and Europe, will bring attractive opportunities and experiences.

Participating in the international exchange scholarship program, UEH students are admitted to study in Germany, Italy, Macao, Singapore, Netherlands, Taiwan, Indonesia in 2025, according to 2 programs:

  • Short-term exchange programs in the form of projects or some particular subjects (under 15 days) include: "Empowering Integrated Culture and Art for Sustainable Tourism in the Digital Economy" at Padjadjaran University - Indonesia, "Summer Camp" at Tunghai University - Taiwan.
  • Long-term exchange program equivalent to 01 semester of study in European countries (Osnabruck University of Applied Sciences - Germany, Stuttgart University of Communication (HdM) - Germany, Saxion University - Netherlands, University of Siena - Italy) and Asian countries (Singapore Management University - Singapore, Padjadjaran University - Indonesia, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology - Taiwan, National Kaohsiung University - Taiwan, Nanhua University - Taiwan, Saint Joseph University - Macao).

Accordingly, UEH students will experience exciting things in each program as follows:

1. Saxion University, Netherlands:

Saxion University, one of the largest higher education institutions in the Netherlands, has a long history of education, dated back to 1875. The exchange programme is taught in English by lecturers with extensive practical and applied research experience.

Studying at Saxion University, UEH students will have international experiences in learning and opportunities for cross-cultural exchange. After completing the exchange program and meeting the professional requirements of the course, UEH students will be considered for equivalent credit transfer to the Banking and Securities Market program at UEH.

Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands offers a wide range of employment opportunities for students, including teaching assistantships, internships in research projects, and work opportunities at partner companies. In addition, the university organizes career events and job fairs to help students connect with employers. The career support system also helps students find part-time jobs or internships relevant to their major.

2. Tunghai University, Taiwan:

Tunghai University (THU) is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Taiwan, located in Taichung City. Founded in 1955, THU was the first university in Taiwan to offer Western-style educational programs.

By participating in the exchange program, UEH students will experience internationalization of study, cultural access and exchange at this historic school. After completing the program and meeting the professional requirements of the course, students will be considered for equivalent credit transfer at UEH.

In addition, the Government and Universities in Taiwan currently offer programs to support international students to study for postgraduate degrees.

3. Universitas Padjadjaran, Indonesia:

Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD) is one of the leading prestigious universities in Indonesia, located in Bandung, West Java. Established in 1957, UNPAD has many outstanding achievements in education, research and international cooperation, attracting students from all over the country and abroad.

UNPAD's international exchange program is highly practical, students are involved in developing practical projects locally, accessing culture and gaining new perspectives on sustainable tourism according to regional conditions.

Regarding the exchange program at the School of Banking, at the end of the course, students can meet the professional requirements of the course they are studying, and be considered for transferring equivalent credits to the Banking and Stock Market program at UEH.

Regarding the exchange program at the School of Tourism, each student will gain different perspectives and ideas to improve the quality of life of residents destinations through empowering cultural and artistic exchanges in the context of today's digital technology. Each student group's applied research project related to sustainable tourism will be presented to a jury consisting of academic researchers, business and technology experts.

UNPAD's partner businesses in Indonesia are of high quality and focus on sustainable development. Therefore, international students have the opportunity to return to intern at famous tourist establishments in Bandung. In addition, UNPAD's certification is a practical tool for students who wish to develop their careers at high-end tourist establishments, hotels and restaurants that focus on sustainability like Six Sense Ninh Van Bay in Vietnam, or international corporations IHG and Marriott.

4. Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology:

The programs at the College of Business at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST) have obtained AACSB accreditation, ensuring the quality of its teaching. STUST offers a wide range of courses taught in English by professors with extensive experience in academic research and practical experience beyond the classroom.

By participating in the exchange program, UEH students will be exposed to the basic concepts of business, economics, and management, combined with a focus on specific issues related to international relations and businesses operating on a global scale.

The Taiwanese government currently offers programs supporting international students to stay and to work or to pursue Master's or Doctoral programs after graduation. The Vietnamese student community in Taiwan is large and ready to support students in finding job opportunities.

5. National Kaohsiung University:

National University of Kaohsiung (NUK) is a prestigious public university in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. Established in 2000, NUK is one of the young yet rapidly growing universities in Taiwan, with a good reputation in the fields of technology, economics, and management.

The exchange programme with NUK provides students with basic concepts of business, economics, and management, combined with a focus on specific issues related to international relations and businesses operating on a global scale.

UEH students will have the opportunity to approach different cultures from friends from countries around the world, and at the same time have the opportunity to get acquainted with the Chinese language to have opportunities for future development. 6. University of Siena, Italy:

The University of Siena is one of the oldest universities in Europe, founded in 1240 and located in the Tuscany region of Italy. It is renowned for its high-quality education, especially in the fields of law, economics, medicine, political science and humanities.

By participating in the exchange program with the University of Siena, UEH students will experience internationalized learning and diverse cultural exchange opportunities.

After completing the program and meeting the professional requirements of the course, UEH students will be considered for transferring equivalent credits to the Banking and Stock Market program at UEH.

7. Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, Germany:

Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences is one of the leading universities of applied sciences in Germany. Located in the city of Osnabrück, Lower Saxony, the university stands out for its practice-oriented teaching methods, high-quality curricula and close links with business.

By participating in the exchange program, UEH students will experience internationalized learning and diverse cultural exchange opportunities.

8. Nanhua University, Taiwan:

Nanhua University (NHU) is a prestigious private university in Taiwan, located in Chiayi County, founded in 1996 by the international Buddhist organization Fo Guang Shan. By participating in the exchange program, UEH students have access to a Taiwanese education system. Students can study and interact with friends from different countries. In addition to the curriculum, Nanhua University also offers many cultural and exchange activities to help students gain more experience.

9. University of Saint Joseph Macao:

University of Saint Joseph (USJ) is a prestigious private Catholic university in Macau, founded in 1996 by the Portuguese Catholic University and the Diocese of Macau. USJ is ranked in the top 10 in Asia for communications and has world-renowned professors for their high academic research, which is considered a good opportunity for students with a passion for technology and art.

Students participating in the exchange program will gain knowledge of new technologies such as Tangible User Interface, Interactive Sound and apply technology to media products.

10. University of Media Stuttgart:

The University of Media Stuttgart (Hochschule der Medien - HdM) is a renowned public university in Stuttgart, Germany, specializing in the fields of media, information technology, media design and production. Participating in the exchange program, UEH students will learn about advertising knowledge, storytelling, script-writing methods and unique TVCs.

11. SMU-X Oversea - Digital Business Transformation Across Asia Practicum:

SMU-X Oversea - Digital Business Transformation Across Asia Practicum is a practicum programme of Singapore Management University (SMU) that aims to provide students with practical experience in applying knowledge of digital transformation in the business context in Asia.

By participating in the exchange program, students will be taught directly by lecturers from SMU University, working directly with customer representatives from Singaporean enterprises, through real-life teaching situations. Therefore, the course will be an opportunity for students to learn and to apply the knowledge acquired in the most effective and practical way.

The Digital Business Transformation course provides an in-depth introduction to the role of innovation, digital marketing, and other technologies to support businesses in Southeast Asia in transforming their business strategies and growing their businesses, especially startups.

In addition to specialized knowledge, participating students will work together to implement a business project to solve the problem of a Singaporean company that is looking to expand its market to Vietnam, then research and present it to the SMU, UEH faculty and business representatives. Through the course, students will be acquiring knowledge of Digital Skills and Business Project Management Skills, which are two specialized areas that students will be trained in depth in this subject. In addition, they will also improve their teamwork skills, business situation analysis, and working in a multicultural environment.

12. SMU-X Overseas - Economics of A Green Economy: An Introduction:

The SMU-X Overseas - Economics of a Green Economy: An Introduction programme is part of the curriculum at Singapore Management University (SMU), focusing on exploring the concepts and applications of the green economy.

Students will learn about the principles and strategies of sustainable development, and how businesses and governments can apply these methods to promote economic growth while protecting the environment. The program content helps students grasp global trends related to the green economy and the challenges that society faces in transitioning to a sustainable economy.

The program goes beyond theory and provides students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge to real-world projects and case studies. This helps students gain a better understanding of practical issues in the green economy and develop problem-solving skills.

Students can participate in extracurricular activities, seminars, or internships at organizations related to the green economy, thereby accumulating valuable experience.

The international student exchange scholarship is part of UEH's strategy to provide a comprehensive scholarship policy for students with the message "Unlock Dreams: Lifelong Learning, Limitless Future". This is UEH's effort to provide lifelong learning opportunities for all students so that they can access high-quality education, develop comprehensively and equally, reach their dreams, and grasp their own future.
