ISB Graduation Ceremony 2024: A Mark of Pride, a Moment of Gratitude, and Belief in a Bright Future

On the morning of August 10, 2024, the International School of Business (ISB) - University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) successfully organized the Graduation Ceremony with the theme "Unlock Your Potential". The ceremony took place in a joyful atmosphere and full of pride of teachers, family, and friends for the new Masters and Graduates.

The new masters and graduates have officially completed their journey of knowledge, ready to conquer a new future. At the Graduation Ceremony 2024, ISB honored 265 new Masters and Graduates of different study programs, including:

30 New ISB MBAs, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City.
32 New UQAM EMBAs, University of Quebec in Montreal, Canada.
12 New Masters in Finance and Masters in Human Resource Management, Massey University, New Zealand.
191 New Graduates of Business Administration, ISB BBus Talent 2024 Program, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City.

This graduation will be memorable in the development journey of each student. There is nothing more wonderful than wearing a ceremonial gown and having their name called to receive a prestigious degree in front of the pride of teachers and family.

Graduation Day Message: Don't be afraid of thorns, the future will surely be successful

At the beginning of the Graduation Ceremony, Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) - sent his congratulations to all the new Masters and Graduates. He emphasized that graduation is a time to recognize the proud efforts of students. This is also an ideal time for the new Graduates and Masters to look back on their past journeys and to get motivated to conquer the bright future ahead. At the same time, Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh conveyed the meaningful message that failure was not the contradictory result of success, but a stepping stone to success. Therefore, he encouraged them to boldly pursue their ambitions. In conclusion, he expressed his deep gratitude to the families of the new Masters and new Graduates. Thanks to the wholehearted support from their relatives, ISB students had more motivation to reach this important milestone in their journey of knowledge.

The Graduation Ceremony also had the presence of Ms. Le Thi Mai Linh - Former student of UEH-ISB, Member of the Scientific Council of ISB and General Director of Haleon Group for 4 countries: Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar. She had an inspiring sharing about her journey of studying a Master's degree at ISB at the age of 39. This was a challenging time when she had to take on many responsibilities at work and at home. Fortunately, thanks to the encouragement of ISB and her classmates, she was empowered to continue her learning journey. Looking back on the past journey, Ms. Mai Linh gave sincere advice, which is to accept challenges and find ways to overcome them. She also reminded us that the power of friendship and team spirit is immense. An imbalance in the process of studying and working is possible. However, we are not alone, anyone can open their heart to call for support when needed. That is the support for each person to have more strength to continuously develop.

Closing the Graduation Ceremony, Dr. Douglas Foster, Former Vice President of ISB, Director of UQÀM - Canada Program, Provost, Western Sydney University, Vietnam Campus also expressed his pride for the new masters and graduates. In this important moment, he was filled with joy and nostalgia for the 15-year journey of contributing to the building and development of ISB.

Having spent a long time accompanying many generations of students, he understood that the learning journey was not easy. To be present at the ceremony, the students have gone through many challenges and demonstrated perseverance and dedication in their studies. Therefore, that meaningful milestone not only recognized their academic achievements but also demonstrated their ability to adapt to a constantly changing world. The qualities that were cultivated during the learning process would be valuable assets for the next stage of development.
