According to the latest results as of June 2025, the Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES), under the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), has maintained its Q1 ranking in the SCOPUS database for the third consecutive year and has achieved a consistently high five-year Impact Factor, as reported by Clarivate.
JABES is indexed in a range of prestigious international databases, including: EconLit, EBSCO, Cabell’s Directories, Discovery Service, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Google Scholar, WorldCat, ProQuest… Notably, JABES has joined the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) in June 2021, SCOPUS in March 2022, the ABDC Journal Quality List in March 2023, and the ERIM Journal List in July 2024.

JABES’s Advisory and Editorial Boards comprise 60 distinguished scholars from 24 countries, with international members accounting for 90% of the boards. Many board members also serve as Editors-in-Chief of other reputable international journals.
These metrics demonstrate JABES’s influence and sustained citation relationships within the global research community, reflecting the enduring quality and impact of its published articles. They also affirm the academic standing and prestige of JABES, the result of years of dedicated management and operation in accordance with international standards, thereby enhancing UEH’s overall academic reputation.
JABES will continue its efforts to maintain its Q1 ranking in SCOPUS and to participate in additional international indexes to further raise its profile within the global academic network. Targeted indexes for 2025 include:Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS), United KingdomA-list journals under the Italian Tenure System in Economics (The Italian Tenure system in Economics)
JABES will also continue organizing the annual ACBES international academic conference series. As of now, ACBES 2025 has attracted over 400 submissions from scholars representing 42 countries. Scheduled for August 14–15, 2025, at UEH, ACBES 2025 will continue to provide a platform for exchange, discussion, and collaborative research among the global scholarly community.
