November was filled with laughter, fun activities and memorable moments at UEH English Zone (EZ). From heartfelt conversations, sharing and learning from each other to engaging board games, the English Zone has become a home for those who love to practice English. Let’s review the memorable moments of November at the EZ!
Over the past month, our English Zone has been like a colorful garden. Every activity and event is a beautiful flower, together creating a wonderful English Zone picture.
Sweet November started with the theme "Lovey-Dovey" at English Zone. Under the cool shade of the trees, everyone shared warm love stories, from sincere friendship to romantic love. In the cozy atmosphere at English Zone, the conversation became an open space where everyone freely shared their own stories, feelings and perspectives.
Along with spreading the color of love, the Student Union of the Faculty of Foreign Languages (SFL) also organized a talk session with the theme “Word Kindness” to respond to World Kindness Day and contribute to spreading positive words of love. Participants certainly had interesting experiences and shared how they often spread words of love to everyone as well as listened to the sharing of other participants.
November also welcomed the return of the Silver Screen screening with the short film about family love “If anything happens, I love you”. Through the authentic footage, we experienced different emotions together and cherished the moments with family more.
EZ Board Game has long been a "specialty" attracting a large number of participants at UEH English Zone activities. November welcomed the return of legendary board games such as "Werewolf" or "Exploding kitten" as well as board games that require intelligence such as "Codename" and "Taboo". During the board game sessions, the red color of enthusiasm appeared prominently in the magical deductions to find the "wolf" in Werewolf, when the cards of Exploiding Kitten were gradually discovered. Not to be outdone, with board games that require high reasoning, participants also performed extremely well and in harmony among members through the description and guessing of Taboo's vocabulary or the suggestions for teammates to find the keywords they needed to find in Codename.
EZ Board Game has proven that learning English can be fun and effective. Through games, you can not only practice English but also improve your teamwork, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
A unique and emotional topic was brought by BELL UEH and English Zone in November: stories about rain. Under the umbrellas, participants shared their memories and feelings associated with the rain, creating a warm and familiar space. With English Zone, participants had the opportunity to talk about the rain and immerse themselves in the deep thoughts that each rain brought. Each story resides, each feeling in each rain is shared by participants in a very unique way in the English language, creating a wonderful atmosphere here.
EZ Talk November created a space for everyone to share, learn and inspire. The theme "Envision Your Future" sparked lively conversations about dreams, ambitions and plans for the future. Together, we painted colorful pictures of the future. Meanwhile, the theme of virtual reality opened doors to a whole new world where we can interact and explore without limits. Through the discussions, we not only connected with each other but also discovered commonalities and differences, creating a vibrant and passionate community.
UEH English Zone has truly become a common home for English lovers. Through activities, we not only practice our skills but also have the opportunity to connect, exchange and create memorable memories. Discussion, board games, DIY or Silver Screen have attracted a large number of participants, bringing useful experiences to everyone. Please follow the UEH English Zone fanpage so as not to miss out on useful activities and connect the community!
