On November 26, 2025, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Work Academy Co., Ltd. (Japan) and GOEN Business Training Institute (Vietnam). This collaborative commitment marks a new milestone in training development, paving the way for expanded international exchange and internship programs in the future.

Attending the signing ceremony from Work Academy Co., Ltd. (Japan) were Mr. Masahiro Matsuda – President, and Mr. Kosuke Arii – Managing Director.

From GOEN Business Training Institute, attendees included Mr. Kawamura Yasuhiro – Managing Director, and Ms. Tran Vu Hoang Sa – Business Development Director.

From UEH, the event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung – UEH Interim President, along with leaders of member colleges, departments, and schools.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Quang Hung affirmed: "UEH has always identified internationalization as a key pillar in its development strategy for the new era, aligned with our commitment to training a generation of global citizens. The University has been continuously expanding its partnership network and creating numerous opportunities for faculty and learners to experience international academic and corporate environments. The cooperation agreement between UEH, Work Academy, and GOEN Business Training is therefore particularly significant, as the synergy of strengths from all parties will create a comprehensive collaborative ecosystem, opening up many opportunities for multinational learning, internships, and cultural exchange. UEH hopes that by 2026, these initiatives will contribute to strengthening the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, while also bringing tangible benefits to students, faculty, and the business communities of both countries."

Under the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), UEH, Work Academy, and GOEN Business Training have agreed to implement the Mission Intern (MI) Program in both UEH and Japan. The program aims to create a comprehensive training environment for students from both countries, focusing on key activities such as: organizing short-term student exchange programs; developing professional skills in line with international standards; implementing training and coaching based on Japanese business models; and connecting, recommending, and supporting UEH students for internship positions in Japan. It will also facilitate opportunities for Japanese students to study and experience the cultural and academic environment in Vietnam.
