More Than 8,000 Newly Admitted Full-Time UEH Students of Batch 50 Officially Joining the Global Student Generation - Sustainable Action

Joining the national atmosphere of welcoming the new academic year, from August 21 to 27, 2024, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) received new Batch 50 full-time students to complete admission procedures, officially joining the generation of Global Students - Sustainable Action.

More than 8,000 new UEH students of Batch 50 officially enrolled

The undergraduate admission season 2024 was successful with more than 8,000 excellent candidates being admitted and becoming new students of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC and Vinh Long Campus).

To welcome the new student generation, UEH organized in-person admission at its campuses from August 21 to 27, 2024.

Early in the morning of August 21, hundreds of new students and parents were present at campus A (59C Nguyen Dinh Chieu, HCMC) and UEH - Vinh Long Branch (1B Nguyen Trung Truc, Vinh Long City) to begin the admission procedures. The atmosphere became more bustling and exciting than ever with the joy, the pride, and the excitement of the new students when they officially became members of the UEH family.

Expressing her joy when coming to UEH for the first time to complete the admission procedures, Ngan - a new student of K50 majoring in Business Administration - shared: “UEH is my first choice, besides, the school is one of the TOP Universities in the Southern region, famous for many exciting student clubs and programs, therefore, I have high expectations for my future learning experiences. I hope to be able to balance between studying and participating in movements at UEH, to have a truly meaningful student life in the next 3.5 years.”

At Vinh Long Campus, Nguyen Thanh Tin, a new student majoring in E-commerce, excitedly expressed: “Introduced by friends, as well as knowing the reputation of UEH for a long time, I have confidently chosen UEH Vinh Long as a place to study with a tuition fee that is more economical than the main campus and being able to transfer to study in Ho Chi Minh City in my final year. I am ready to study at UEH Vinh Long and hope that in the upcoming study period, I will not only master professional knowledge but also develop myself through group activities to expand my network of friends, and practice important soft skills for the future".

Convenient and effective admission procedure

In order to help new students and parents complete the admission procedure quickly and conveniently, UEH has built a scientific admission process. Before the in-person admission procedure day, new K50 students completed the online application form on the UEH Online Admission and Consulting Portal and printed the information form at home, saving time filling out the form manually on campus.

Concurrently, a series of online admission consulting programs "Design Your Future From Day One" - an online space - supports new K50 students learn UEH tuition fees, scholarships, study credits, and financial support, understand the study program options (Vietnamese, partial English, full English, Talented Bachelor, ASEAN CO.OP Bachelor) and participate in the pre-welcome program of the Schools, Institutes, and UEH Vinh Long. In addition, they can visit and experience UEH facilities through the UEH 360-degree virtual reality tour in the "Visit UEH" section and the free Campus Tour program from August 22 - 27.

In particular, on the day of on-site admission procedures at the campuses, UEH has developed a plan, arranged a diagram of admission instructions according to a scientific and clear process, announced and instructed in many locations to create the most favorable conditions for new students and their parents. - The ground floor includes a consultation area for international programs, scholarships, study credit, and souvenirs; dormitory registration area; accommodation information area; PE uniform area; the area for businesses in the UEH Study Credit program in the form of tuition loan (the program is implemented by UEH and banks such as OCB, HDBank, etc. with the goal of creating conditions for students to borrow with the lowest interest rate, simple procedures, limiting risks, UEH will guarantee the principal debt and support interest payments for students participating in the program).

- The 1^st floor includes a consulting area for the full English, partial English, Talented Bachelor, and Asean Co-op Bachelor programs; an application checking area; an application submission area; a computer area for students who have not completed the online admission confirmation procedure; area for receiving application receipts and admission notices; photo taking area; Tuition payment area, etc.

Nam - New student of K50 majoring in Computer Science - shared: “The first time I came to campus A, I value that UEH Campus very modern, airy, and beautifully decorated. Besides, I found the admission process very quick and convenient, and the collaborators were very enthusiastic in supporting me throughout the process.”

In addition, there is also an exhibition area for the UEH Green Campus green university practice regulations, the UEH Green Campus Gamification experience, the “UEH First Checkpoint” check-in area for new students and their families to record meaningful memories on their new journey at UEH.

To best support new students and their parents, hundreds of lecturers, officials, employees, and volunteer students of UEH have been mobilized to guide the implementation of admission procedures, ensuring that new students are fully and enthusiastically informed regarding the regulations, procedures, and admission documents besides helping new students complete the procedures quickly and conveniently.

As one of the orientations of the UEH Multidisciplinary and Sustainable strategy “From UEH learners to global citizens empowered to act for sustainable development”, K50 Freshmen are expected to be comprehensive students in learning, grasping and applying professional knowledge, and practicing diverse skills. Hong Dang - a new student majoring in International Business - shared, "Before that, when I was at home, I was very excited about today's admission ceremony. Choosing UEH with a major in International Business, I am very happy that the school has a full English program that is very suitable for my interests. Studying the major I like in a modern, friendly, high-quality environment, especially one that is always oriented towards the international community, will be a solid launching pad for my future plans.”

Mr. Phan Phuc Nguyen, the parent of a new student majoring in International Business, was delighted at the admission ceremony: “Coming to UEH makes me reminisce my own student days of 33 years ago. At today’s admission ceremony, I was impressed by the way it carried out the procedures quickly, the facilities are spacious and clean. UEH is the place I trust to send my children on their future journey of studying.”

Coincidentally returning to the school on the same day as K50’s admission, Ms. Huong of K10 emotionally shared: “After 40 years, UEH has changed dramatically, becoming more beautiful, more convenient, and extremely integrated with the world. I am very happy and extremely proud of UEH’s progress and development over the past time.
