On the morning of April 4, 2025, at Hall B1.205, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) organized a National Seminar with the theme: "Policies to Promote Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation in Localities to Implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on Breakthroughs in Science, Technology, Innovation and National Digital Transformation".
The seminar was held in the context that localities across the country were urgently and resolutely developing and implementing action plans to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW and Resolution 03/NQ-CP of the Government to promote strong socio-economic development of localities in the era of national development. This was an important forum for local leaders, management agencies, and researchers to exchange, to discuss, to share their experiences, and to propose breakthrough policies to promote the application of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation in socio-economic development in localities.
The seminar focused on provinces and cities in the Southeast, Central Highlands, and Central Coast regions. These localities urgently need to improve their capacity to apply science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation in key socio-economic fields such as production, business, education, health, public administrative services, etc., to contributing to positive changes in the restructuring of the growth model to promote sustainable development of the locality and the country.
The event was attended by Dr. Nguyen Huu Xuyen - Deputy Director of the Institute of Strategy and Policy on Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology; Dr. Le Yen Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Social Sciences, Humanities and Natural Sciences, Ministry of Science and Technology; leaders of Provinces and Cities in the Southeast, Central Highlands, Central Coast, research institutes and universities.

Overview of the Seminar
At the seminar, Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President of UEH - remarked: “This seminar is specifically aimed at the Provinces and Cities in the Southeast, Central Highlands, and the southernmost Central Coast. Along with the whole country, these localities have both restructured administrative boundaries and promoted the improvement of science and technology capacity, innovation, and digital transformation to promote sustainable socio-economic development. In practice, the provinces and cities in the region are having strong movements in restructuring the growth model, transforming the economic structure, and digitalizing key areas such as public administration, production, business, education, healthcare, and public services, and making important contributions to the overall development of the country. As a multidisciplinary research university with the responsibility of promoting sustainable community development, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) always focuses on connecting academic knowledge with local management and development practices. In recent years, UEH has proactively implemented research programs, consulted policy advice, and transferred innovative governance models to many provinces and cities across the country, especially in localities in the Southeast, Central Highlands and Central Coast.”
