Advancing Theoretical Frameworks, Positioning Behaviors in the Digital Era

From an academic perspective, UEH scholars have effectively applied and integrated various contemporary theoretical frameworks, including the Technology–Organization–Environment (TOE) framework, Theory of Consumption Values (TCV), Innovation Resistance Theory (IRT), Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Signaling Theory, and Relationship Marketing. Building on these theoretical foundations, the studies have focused on decoding significant shifts in consumer behavior and business operations:

Generation Z & green transportation: Analyzing the drivers and barriers influencing Gen Z's decisions to use electric public transportation in emerging cities, toward sustainable transportation solutions.
Marketing & payments in the digital era: Exploring consumer attitudes toward the emerging trend of Metaverse Marketing, while analyzing the factors driving decisions to choose cashless payment methods in Vietnam.
Partnerships in supply chains: Assessing the role of brand and salesperson support in retailer performance, while clarifying the role of digital enablement in strengthening partnership performance.

Pioneering Technology Applications for Green Growth

The intersection of economics, management, and technology continues to be reflected through research aimed at advancing the green transition and improving operational efficiency:

Agriculture & supply chains: Applying Blockchain technology to agricultural traceability, contributing to greater transparency and consumer trust; while examining circular economy entrepreneurship and the role of green transformational leadership in enhancing carbon-neutral supply chain performance.
Smart logistics: Developing a cube robot for automated storage and retrieval systems, contributing to greater automation capabilities and operational efficiency in logistics systems.
Sustainable consumption & emerging technologies: Analyzing the impact of functional and psychological barriers on consumer attitudes toward Metaverse Marketing, while examining the role of perceived sustainability commitment in shaping brand trust and preference.

Institutional Innovation and Public Sector Governance in the Digital Era

Beyond businesses and consumers, the studies also provide important implications for public governance and innovation policy:

Public auditing & digital technology: Highlighting the role of digital technology capabilities and cyber forensic accounting intelligence in building smart and sustainable auditing ecosystems for public sector organizations.
R&D policy & innovation: Analyzing the impact of government research and development (R&D) subsidies on disruptive innovation in early-stage ventures, providing further evidence for designing policies to support technological innovation.
Research & methodology: Assessing the consistency of findings across different types of economic surveys, contributing to improved research design and the reliability of empirical evidence in the social sciences.

Diversifying Tools for Knowledge Discovery

UEH's research capacity continues to be demonstrated through a diverse methodological system, spanning behavioral research at the individual level to organizational and policy analysis.

The studies flexibly combine empirical surveys, behavioral models, mediation–moderation analyses, technology–organization–environment analytical frameworks, and technology–engineering simulation and design solutions.

This combination not only ensures academic rigor but also generates practical implications for digital transformation, circular economy development, technological innovation, and the promotion of sustainable consumption.

Creating Knowledge, Advancing the “Twin Transition”

Overall, this week's publications further reaffirm UEH's capacity to transcend traditional academic boundaries and advance interdisciplinary research. From Blockchain, AI, Metaverse, digital payments, and robotics to the circular economy, green transportation, and public governance, these studies contribute to decoding significant transformations in contemporary economic and social systems.
