New UEH Publications Alert (Week 4 - February 2026): UEH Reinforces The Multidisciplinary Research Capacity - From Foundational Theories to Sustainable Development Solutions

02 Mar, 2026

Over the past week, the latest series of international publications by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) once again underscores the University’s strong interdisciplinary orientation. These scholarly contributions span innovation management, finance, resource economics, healthcare, and education, addressing contemporary socio-economic challenges through advanced analytical frameworks and rich empirical evidence.

Advancing theoretical frontiers through contemporary scholarly debates

UEH researchers not only apply but further extend foundational theoretical frameworks such as dynamic capabilities, stakeholder theory, and the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) model. Notably, several studies demonstrate strong theoretical currency by integrating emerging technologies and ESG standards into institutional and organizational analyses.
The research portfolio of the week reflects clear multidisciplinarity, ranging from resource economics to corporate governance:

Macroeconomics and Environment: Studies examine the impact of the Kyoto Protocol on forest area dynamics and explore the nexus between natural resource endowments and innovation performance.

Finance and Management: Research measures the impact of non-performing loans (NPLs) on bank supervisory thresholds and investigates the sustainability competitiveness of ASEAN family firms through greenhouse gas disclosure and ESG practices.

Technology and Digital Transformation: Scholarly works analyze the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in digital healthcare systems, personalized advertising, and the transformation of educational delivery models.

Methodological rigor aligned with international standards

The publications demonstrate strong research execution capabilities through the analysis of complex datasets, including multi-country and multi-industry panels, multi-wave surveys, and multi-informant data sources. The flexible application of advanced econometric and statistical techniques such as SEM, PCA, DID, and instrumental variable approaches that enables seamless integration between micro-level behavioral analyses (e.g., consumers, learners) and macro-level institutional and global policy contexts.

Knowledge dissemination and practical value creation

Beyond academic contributions, these studies generate substantial policy and managerial implications for developing and emerging economies. They provide actionable insights for fostering social innovation among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), strengthening systemic risk governance in the banking sector, and advancing sustainable strategies across healthcare, education, and tourism industries.

Collectively, this week’s research outputs further consolidate UEH’s position as a robust interdisciplinary research hub, continuously contributing to the global scientific community while creating tangible value for Vietnam’s and the region’s sustainable development trajectory.
