Opening Ceremony of the 2nd Doctoral and Master Degree Training Course 2022

On the morning of October 30, 2022, at Hall A116, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) solemnly organized the Opening Ceremony of the 2nd Doctoral and Master's Degree Training Course in 2022 that continues to mark a new milestone in UEH's 32-year Graduate training journey.

Attending the Opening Ceremony, on behalf of UEH leadership side, there were the attendance of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Chairman of UEH University Council; Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh – UEH President; with the presence of the Board of Management of UEH member Colleges and the lecturers, representatives of the leaders of the Departments, Divisions and Units of the University, Faculty/Institute, and especially the presence of Graduate learners (Batch 32.2) and 41 Ph.D candidates.

Overview of the opening ceremony

The learners of the 2nd Postgraduate Admission Course in 2022 at UEH have successfully passed the rigorous English and GMAT tests to be admitted to 2 Master application-oriented and research-oriented programs. The training majors include Business Administration + EMBA; Finance; Economic Law; International Business; Accounting; Marketing; Banking; Human Resources Management; Commercial Business; Information and Communication Design Technology; Economics and Management of the Health sector; Government Management; Sustainable Corporate Management and Environment; Hospital Management; Public Finance; Political Economy; Economic Management.

For the doctoral training program, 41 candidates were admitted in majors including Accounting; Business Administration; Finance; Banking; Economic Law; Economic Development; Public Finance; Human Resources Manangement; Statistics. There are 4 foreign doctoral candidates participating in the training program in English medium.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the second postgraduate training course in 2022, Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President of UEH University - shared: “As the earliest graduate training institution in the Southern region with more than 32 years of graduate training, UEH has trained more than 15,000 Masters and more than 540 doctors, they are promoting their role very well in central, local and corporate agencies, contributing to the development of the country. UEH’s postgraduate training program aims to produce masters and doctors of economics who master theory, have a high level of practice, are able to work independently, creatively and competently to detect and solve problems in the field of training. In particular, in recent years, UEH University has continuously invested in innovating programs and teaching methods, building a data system for teaching and learning according to international standards; promoting and improving the quality of scientific research activities, increasing international publication; expanding international association activities; expanding training according to international programs in English at Bachelor, Master and Doctoral levels... Also within the framework of the program, leaders of UEH Departments disseminated the Regulations and introduced orientation activities at UEH to the trainees listed as: Disseminating regulations on Master training program; Disseminating regulations on doctoral training; Introduction to the Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (JABES); Introduction to international publication.
