Opening Ceremony of the 3rd Knowledge Supplement Course - CEO VRG2024 for Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG)

On the morning of November 25, 2024, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) in collaboration with Vietnam Rubber Group (VGR) solemnly organized the opening ceremony of the "3rd Knowledge Supplement Course - CEO VRG2024" for students of Vietnam Rubber Group. This activity is within the framework of the cooperation agreement on training and fostering human resources between the two units.

Overview of the opening ceremony

Attending the Opening Ceremony, on behalf of the UEH side, there was the presence of Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President of UEH; and Mr. Nguyen Hoang Son - Deputy Head of Department of Training along with the teachers participating in the course.

On behalf of Vietnam Rubber Group, there was the participation of Mr. Ha Van Khuong - Permanent Deputy Secretary, Member of the Board of Directors of the Group; Mr. Nguyen Cuu Tue - Head of the Organizing Committee, staff along with students of the 3rd Knowledge Supplement Course - CEO VRG2024.

Remarking on the Opening Ceremony, Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President of UEH – statedsaid: “The year 2024 is a milestone marking the remarkable development of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City when as it officially entered the TOP 501-600 in the 2025 World University Rankings of Times Higher Education (THE). This achievement is not only a source of pride but also proves that, with determination and continuous efforts, UEH has overcome many challenges to affirm its position on the global education map. With the "3rd Knowledge Supplement Course - CEO VRG2024", with an understanding of the role of the Board of Management and the training capacity of experienced lecturers, UEH offers a course designed specifically for Department/Division Leaders and Leaders of member units under the Group. “3rd Knowledge Supplement Course – CEO VRG 2024” - Vietnam Rubber Group for  Department/Office Leaders and Leaders of member units under VRG. The course includes 09 topics organized from November 25 to December 1, 2024. At the end of the program, qualified students will be awarded a certificate of course completion by UEH.

The course is systematically designed, focusing on core issues that business leaders are facing, providing students with a comprehensive view of business management issues, especially in the rubber industry. In addition to basic knowledge listedsuch as Strategic Management, Human Resource Management and Corporate Culture, the course will delve into specific topics of the rubber industry, not only imparting theoretical knowledge but also creating conditions for students to practice, to exchange experiences and to share practical lessons, interacting between theory and practice. 

Nearly 50 years of establishment and development, UEH has constantly promoted its training strengths by coordinating the development of short-term training programs to update knowledge for leaders and senior managers of business units, especially those with governmental capital and defense listedsuch as Vietnam Electricity Group, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, 175 Military Hospital, Liksin Printing and Packaging Corporation, 16th LLC (16th Army Corps), etc. These are the efforts of UEH to meet the demand for high-quality human resources in the public sector with the capacity to implement a strong socio-economic development strategy according to the policies of the Party and the Government.
