Opening Ceremony of the Fostering Course on Leadership and Management Capacity for Leaders and Managers of Dong Nai Province

Recently, on the morning of September 6, 2024, at the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Hall, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) coordinated with the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee to solemnly organize the Opening Ceremony of the "Training Course to Improve Leadership and Management Capacity" for 40 Deputy Directors of Departments/Agencies; Vice Chairman of People's Committees of districts/cities; Chief of People's Councils and People's Committees Office, Heads/Deputy Heads of Departments/Committees of People's Councils/People's Committees of districts/cities, Directors of Project Management Boards of districts/cities under Dong Nai province.

Attending the Opening Ceremony, on behalf of Dong Nai Province, there were Mr. Dao Van Phuoc - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; Mr. Pham Xuan Ha - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Ms. Bui Thi Yen - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; and Mr. Nguyen Huu Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Home Affairs.

On behalf of UEH, there were Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Vice President of UEH; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet - Chairwoman of the Strategy and Policy Advisory Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Thuy Anh - Vice Principal of UEH College of Technology and Design (CTD); Dr. Nguyen Kim Duc, Deputy Director of the Institute for Regional Development Research and Consulting; and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Su - Vice Dean of the Institute for Regional Development Research and Consulting.

Overview of the Opening Ceremony

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the course, Dr. Dinh Cong Khai emphasized that the goal of the training and fostering course 2024 is to improve the leadership and management capacity of leaders and managers of Dong Nai Province in planning and leading the implementation of sustainable development policies related to green growth, innovation, digital transformation; building programs to promote the development of digital society, digital economy, smart traffic infrastructure systems associated with regional economic development planning, urban development of the province towards smart and sustainable urban areas. In addition, topics on the effectiveness and efficiency of government in planning, land, construction and environment and destination branding strategies to develop trade, services, and logistics locally associated with Long Thanh International Airport, Dong Nai which are also highlights of the program associated with the development strategy of Dong Nai province.

Speaking at the training course, Mr. Dao Van Phuoc - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board - emphasized that training and fostering was an essential requirement for the leaders and managers in the political system. This ensures that they have the opportunity to study continuously and regularly to always grasp new knowledge, scientific management and leadership skills as well as quickly access the latest information, resulting in the effective meeting of the tasks in each stage.
