Opening Ceremony of the Senior Manager Training Program 2023 - Electricity Corporation Ho Chi Minh City

With the prestige and quality of training that has been confirmed for more than 47 years, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) is always a reliable address for businesses, associations and state agencies to choose for training and providing knowledge of economics, business, management, law, technology, and design for their Human Resources. Recently, on the morning of February 8, 2023, UEH cooperated with the Electricity Corporation Ho Chi Minh City (EVNHCMC) to solemnly hold the Opening Ceremony of “Senior Manager Training Program 2023” for 37 learners from EVNHCMC.

 

Attending the Opening Ceremony, from the UEH side, there were: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council; Prof. Dr. Su Dinh Thanh - President; Dr. Bui Quang Hung - Vice President; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - Vice President; Dr. Dinh Cong Khai - Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Thien Duy - Head of Department of Continuing Education; Dr. Trinh Tu Anh - Director of the Institute of Smart Cities and Management; MSc. Truong Minh Kiet - Head of the Department of Marketing and Communication, with leaders of units/departments and UEH lecturers.

 

On the side of EVNHCMC, there were: Dr. Pham Quoc Bao - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Members' Council; Mr. Nguyen Duy Quoc Viet - Deputy General Director; Mr. Bui Trung Kien - Deputy General Director; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nha - Deputy General Director; Mr. Bui Hai Thanh - Deputy General Director with the presence of 37 learners of the Senior Manager Training Program 2023.

Speaking at the opening of the course, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong - Chairman of the University Council shared: “Over 47 years of construction and development, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City has been asserting itself as a leading prestigious university in Vietnam, providing society with high-quality human resources and the ability to integrate in an international working environment. Implementing the cooperation agreement between UEH and Electricity Corporation Ho Chi Minh City in 2021-2025; In 2022, UEH successfully organized training programs for the Electricity Corporation Ho Chi Minh City, including: "Training program for level-3 managers", "Finance for managers". In 2023, UEH will continue to organize training courses for leaders of the Electricity Corporation Ho Chi Minh City. First is the training program "Senior Managers" for the senior leadership team of EVNHCMC. To organize the course at the request of the Corporation, UEH has developed a training program and invited domestic and foreign teachers and speakers with professional knowledge and practical experience to participate in teaching and reporting in reality, preparing service facilities, applying technology in the organization and management of courses. On behalf of the leaders of UEH and the Electricity Corporation Ho Chi Minh City leaders, I would like to announce the opening of the Senior Manager training program 2023. Wishing all students a good study, gaining a lot of useful knowledge to apply in practice and their work at the Electricity Corporation Ho Chi Minh".

Trusting and appreciating the training quality of UEH, Dr. Pham Quoc Bao - Chairman of the Members' Council of the Electricity Corporation Ho Chi Minh said: “Electricity Corporation Ho Chi Minh City focuses on training and fostering managers as one of the important stages of staff work, to gradually improve staff management and administration capacity at all levels, creating conditions for managers to develop and improve their professional qualifications and skills, and in order to well perform the assigned tasks and missions. Synchronized with the training program for managers organized by the Vietnam Electricity Corporation in the past time, in order to continue to build the next generation of staff, appropriate training - fostering management knowledge is a condition and standard when considering the appointment and re-appointment of employees of the Corporation at the request of the Group, EVNHCMC decided to coordinate with UEH to organize a training program for senior managers. The Corporation's leaders expect that this training program will be a channel to connect and share experts' rich knowledge and valuable experiences in many fields and absorb the success stories of typical domestic and international enterprise models, especially in corporate governance and administration. In order to carry out this training program, I would like to thank the leadership of the University of Economics of Ho Chi Minh City for supporting the Corporation in organizing the course; Special thanks are given to the teachers who accepted the invitation to lecture for the employees of the Corporation."

The training program “Senior Managers - Electricity Corporation Ho Chi Minh City 2023” with the theme "Adapting to the global energy future" for the senior leadership team, including Deputy General Director, Chief Accountant; Leaders of departments/offices of the Corporation; The officers subject to planning will hold the positions of Chairman of the Members' Council, Board of Members, General Director, Deputy General Director, Chief Accountant of the Corporation; Directors of units under the Corporation.

The training program "Senior Managers 2023” for senior managers of EVNHCMC

 

The program is specifically designed to update management knowledge such as: Change Management; innovation management; Information sharing management; Comprehensive quality management… and new knowledge such as: Digital transformation and sustainable development, green energy, and renewable energy; the skills needed by leaders in the new era such as international standard human resource management tools and methods, improving employee experience; Ways to inspire and retain talents… with four main themes: (1) Change and innovation management; (2) Reaching out and promoting to customers in the context of the “new normal”; (3) Global digital transformation; (4) Changing become a great leader.

 

The program also provides an opportunity to connect and share with experts in many fields and listen to success stories from typical domestic and foreign businesses. In addition, the program provides practical learning experiences in Korea, such as working with the Ministry of Energy, Korean energy companies, and Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). The training period is from February 8 to March 31, 2023, in direct training at UEH. Successful students will be granted a certificate of completion by UEH and EVNHCMC.
