Opening Ceremony of the Training Course on "E-commerce for Leaders of Hoa Sen Group"

On November 2, 2024, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and Hoa Sen Group (HSG) opened the training course "E-commerce for Hoa Sen Group leaders". This is a training cooperation activity between the two units based on the previous signing of the cooperation agreement for the period 2024 - 2027.

University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and Hoa Sen Group signed a cooperation agreement for the period of 2024 - 2027 on June 26, 2024, marking a new milestone in the journey of the two parties in the following areas: (1) Connecting training closely linked to practice with internship, practicum, and business semester programs for students; cooperating in training and sharing knowledge with businesses; (2) Connecting recruitment cooperation programs at Career Fair event series, spreading the recruitment brand of businesses and supporting in resource programs; (3) Accompanying the program "Giving to UEH - For a More Sustainable Future" to nurture talents and spread knowledge; and (4) Connecting to carry out research, projects and other exchange and cooperation programs.

To realize this agreement, on November 2, 2024, UEH cooperated with Hoa Sen Group to solemnly organize the opening ceremony of the training course on "E-commerce for Leaders of Hoa Sen Group".

Attending the Opening Ceremony, on behalf of UEH, there were: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - Vice President of UEH; MSc. Bui Mong Ngoc - Deputy Head of Department of Training; Mr. Phan Ngoc Anh - Deputy Head of Department of Communication and Partnership, lecturer of the School of Management (CoB-UEH), rc. Dang Thai Thinh - Deputy Head of Department of Infrastructure Management, lecturer of the training course.

On behalf of Hoa Sen Group, there were Mr. Vu Van Thanh - General Director of the Group; Mr. Tran Dinh Tai - Deputy General Director in charge of Marketing Hoa Sen Home; Nguyen Tran Dai - Deputy General Director in charge of Business Hoa Sen Home; and Directors, Deputy Directors, Heads of product lines, Heads of related departments participating in the course.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the course, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao - Vice President of UEH - remarked: “University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City has just passed the milestone of celebrating our 48th anniversary with an extremely proud achievement: entering the Top 501-600 World Universities in 2025 of the Times Higher Education (THE) Ranking. This is the result of UEH's tireless efforts, as well as the companionship between UEHand Enterprises, bringing many practical values in the work of training high-quality human resources for the economy, fulfilling social responsibilities and spreading knowledge to the community. Continuing this journey of spreading knowledge as well as being honored to receive the trust of Hoa Sen Group, UEH has coordinated with the Group to open an E-commerce training course for the Board of Directors and Management Staff of Hoa Sen Group in 2024. With this short-term course, I wish all students to try hard to study and to focus to achieve outstanding results and especially to apply the knowledge they have acquired to leadership work in the units. This is a program that UEH has built specifically for gifted students, meticulously and scientifically. The program includes 06 subjects, newly built, applying the latest legal regulations and inviting lecturers with knowledge and practical experience to be involved; preparing facilities for the classroom, and applying technology in organizing and managing the classroom.

Nearly 50 years of establishment and development, UEH has constantly promoted their strengths in training by coordinating the development of short-term training programs to update knowledge for leaders and senior managers of businesses, especially those with state capital and defense such as Vietnam Electricity Group, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Military Hospital 175, Liksin Printing and Packaging Corporation, 16th Company Limited (16th Army Corps) to meet the demand for high-quality human resources in the public sector with the capacity to implement a strong socio-economic development strategy in accordance with the policies of the Party and the Government. The short-term training course "E-commerce for leaders of Hoa Sen Group" is expected to be the next successful step of UEH in the journey of spreading knowledge to the community and other accompanying businesses in sustainable development.
