Opening of the Training Course on "Economic and Financial Management for the Healthcare Sector" Cohort 7 - April 2025

On April 15, 2025, at room B1 507, campus 279 Nguyen Tri Phuong, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) organized the opening ceremony of the training course on "Economic and Financial Management for the Health Sector" Cohort 7 - April 2025.

Attending the opening ceremony were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Thi Bich Nguyet - Chairwoman of the UEH Strategy and Policy Advisory Council, Director of the Institute of Innovation - Lecturer of the training course; Dr. Dinh Thi Thu Hong - Permanent Deputy Head of the UEH Department of Training; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Son - Deputy Head of the UEH Department of Training, Mr. Phan Ngoc Anh - Deputy Head of the Department of Communications and Partnerships; Mr. Dang Thai Thinh - Deputy Head of the Department of Infrastructure Management; along with lecturers, class management specialists and 20 students participating in the course.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Son - Deputy Head of UEH Department of Training - remarked: “In the development process, UEH always focuses on strengthening comprehensive and long-term cooperation with organizations, agencies and enterprises through the program "Connecting the community - Spreading knowledge - Sustainable action", to be able to accompany organizations and enterprises in the process of training high-quality human resources; bringing value to society and the community, especially spreading the value of multi-disciplinary knowledge. The team of high-quality human resources in the public sector plays a very important role in implementing strategies according to the policies of the Party and the Government, determining the quality of socio-economic development. As a key university in Vietnam, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City wishes to contribute part of our efforts to the development of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general. Promoting our existing role and strengths, UEH continues to open Cohort 7 of the Training Course “Economic and financial management for the health sector” in April 2025.

The training course on "Economic - Financial Management for the Health Sector" is designed specifically for the health sector, meeting the "Regulations on standards, conditions and procedures for appointment, reappointment, transfer, rotation, resignation, and dismissal of management positions in public service units of the Ministry of Health" issued under Decision No. 2969/QD-BYT dated June 16, 2021 of the Ministry of Health. The course includes 06 important and key topics in the field of Economic and Financial Management with case studies closely related to the practical operations of the sector. With the training method based on real-life situations, this is a form of training that is both traditional and flexible for students to quickly and effectively access the core knowledge in the program.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Son also informed that Cohort 4 of the "Economic and Financial Management for the Healthcare Sector" completed with 01 student graduating with high distinction, 12 students ranked excellence, and 04 students ranked fair. With four courses completed, nearly 100 students graduated and were awarded certificates. It is identified that Cohort 8 of the "Economic and Financial Management for the Healthcare Sector" training course will continue to open in October 2025.
