Opening the event series Ready For Next 2022: UEH and partners organize scientific and artistic activities with the theme "Ready to transform for the sustainable development of the community”

On the afternoon of December 8, 2022, the opening ceremony of the Ready for Next 2022 event series with the theme "Ready to transform for the sustainable development of the community" was officially held at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH). Dr. Chung Un-Chan - Former Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea officially opened a series of scientific presentations with the theme "Towards sustainable growth in Vietnam: Lessons from Korea's experience".
 
The series of Ready for Next 2022 events with the theme "Ready to transform for the sustainable development of the community" took place from December 4 to 11 by UEH in collaboration with more than 13 domestic and international partners and educational institutions such as: Portland State University, Milan Polytechnic University, University of Warwick, Handong Global University, Nanyang Technological University, Trieste University, Kwangwoon University, Seoul National University... The activity recognized the participation of Dr. . Chung Un-Chan - Former Prime Minister of Korea, Former President of Seoul National University and Dr. Park Young June - Former Vice Minister of Knowledge Economy of Korea, Honorary Rector of UEH School of Technology - Design.

Appreciating the Ready for Next series of events, Dr. Chung Un-Chan - Former Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea said: "I am honored to participate in UEH Ready for Next program today, especially as our two countries celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of foreign relations and upgrade the relationship into a comprehensive strategic partnership. This is a science and art program that spreads sustainable values that are extremely practical to society. Here, universities, and domestic and foreign organizations will come together to create a spreading network of necessary scientific knowledge, combining economics, technology and art to solve problems of society.”
 
Dr. Chung Un-Chan is also the keynote speaker of the program with a sharing on the topic "Towards sustainable growth in Vietnam: Lessons from Korea's experience" with the question "Vietnam is a fast-growing country, but how to keep this growth energy and how to make it sustainable?”. He said: "One of the fundamental factors contributing to Korea's rapid growth is education. We don't want our progress to be momentary glory - we want it to last. As the economy develops, a country must prepare to shift its educational goals from transferring knowledge to creating knowledge, the country must prepare to adapt and shift its focus to creating and contributing knowledge to the rest of the world. Such efforts will soon expose young generations to new challenges so that they are equipped with the confidence and flexibility to adapt to today's globalization."

Through 04 international scientific conferences: “Resilience by Technology and Design 2022” (RTD); Sustainable University Development: Opportunity and Challenge” (SUDOC); ArtTech Fusion 2022; “A Future Resilience through Smart City Lens” with 25 in-depth seminars, within the framework of Ready for Next 2022, leading experts, scientists, domestic and foreign business representatives will present rotating presentations around the topic of Sustainability, Technology, Art such as:
  • Sustainable university model: Approach solutions;
  • The role of research in sustainable university development;
  • The university's commitment to responsible and sustainable regional and community development;
  • An urban science perspective on local solutions to global challenges;
  • Initiatives that accelerate the transformation of resilient communities;
  • Intelligent co-design: Mixed reality as a tool for collaboration and analysis in human-centered design;
  • Architectural and urban design enhancing resilience.
In parallel, there are exhibition activities, inspiring art towards a sustainable lifestyle in the community such as the Sustainable exhibition "Voice from Ocean"; Media Art Exhibition - Beyond the Forest; Exhibition Inspiring Sustainability Initiatives; Fashion Show “The wow factor”; Art camp “Sustainable lifestyle in the community”; New York Classical Music Society Asia Concert…
 
 
Ready for Next 2022 series of events coordinated by UEH with more than 13 domestic and foreign partners and educational institutions
 
With a destination of sustainable values, Ready for Next is considered a key program of UEH for the community, since then, further promoting its own role - a center for connecting interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and transdisciplinary knowledge, connecting resources, resonating and spreading positive values, contributing to the community's sustainable development.
