Opening the Training Course on "Economic and Financial Management for the Healthcare Sector" - Batch 5 and the Professional Training Course on Bidding - Batch 1 - July 2024

On July 7, 2024, at Room B1308, Campus 279 Nguyen Tri Phuong, Ward 5, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) organized the opening ceremony of the Training Course on "Economic and Financial Management for the Healthcare Sector" - Batch 5 on July, 2024, and the Professional Training Course on Bidding - Batch 1 on July, 2024.
Attending the opening ceremony was Mr. Nguyen Hoang Son - Deputy Head of UEH Department of Undergraduate Training and other lecturers as well as the experts participating in the class and students of both batches. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Son remarked: “In its development process, UEH always focuses on strengthening comprehensive and long-term cooperation with organizations, agencies and enterprises through the program "Connecting the community - Spreading knowledge - Sustainable action " so that we can accompany organizations and enterprises in the process of training high-quality human resources; concurrently, , spreading values to the society and the community, especially the value of multi-disciplinary knowledge. The high-quality human resources in the public sector plays a very important role in implementing strategies according to the policies of the Party and the Government, thereby determining the quality of socio-economic development. As a key university in Vietnam, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City hopes to contribute part of its efforts to the development of the city in particular and the country in general.”
Promoting its role and strengths, UEH continues to open the Training Course on “Economic and Financial Management for the Healthcare Sector” - Batch 5 on July, 2024 and the Professional Training Course on Bidding - Batch 1 on July, 2024.

The training course “Economic and Financial Management for the Health Sector” is a program specifically designed for the Health sector, meeting the “Regulations on standards, conditions and procedures for appointment, reappointment, transfer, rotation, resignation, and dismissal of management positions in public services of the Ministry of Health” issued under Decision No. 2969/QD-BYT dated June 16, 2021 of the Ministry of Health. The course includes 06 key topics in the field of Economic and Financial Management with case studies close to the Health sector. Those qualified students will be awarded a certificate of completion of the course by UEH.
The Professional Training Course on Bidding - Batch 1 on July, 2024 - is designed to compensate for professional knowledge on Bidding, updated terms of the Bidding Law 2023 (effective on January 1, 2024) and legal documents guiding implementation for units in need. The course content focuses on training for units to select contractors, with the target learners being leaders and specialists who have been conducting bidding at the units. With the training method based on case studies and hands-on instruction, students can approach the fastest, most effectively and most proficiently, to grasp the practical skills of bidding activities at the unit. The training content is based on the framework for training and fostering professional skills on bidding (issued with Circular No. 02/2024/TT-BKHĐT dated March 6, 2024 of the Minister of Planning and Investment), which focuses on new terms of the Bidding Law 2023 (effective on January 1, 2024) and legal documents guiding its implementation. The program takes place in 15 sessions with 10 topics covering all related issues.
The Professional Training Course on Bidding is organized based on the actual needs of the Training Courses on “Economic and Financial Management for the Healthcare Sector” in the past two years and the CEO Training Courses for the Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG). Therefore, in addition to the trainees in the Healthcare sector and the trainees from units in Vietnam, there are also trainees from VRG in the Kingdom of Cambodia. To organize the course, UEH has developed a new training program, applying the latest legal regulations and inviting lecturers with knowledge and practical experience to participate in teaching; preparing facilities for the classroom, and applying technology in organizing and managing the classroom. In particular, the learners from Chu Se - KamPong Thom Rubber Joint Stock Company - studied in the company’s online meeting room in Siem Reap, Cambodia and were directly connected to the class taking place in Room B1-308.

It is known that the Batch 6th of the Training Course on "Economic and Financial Management for the Healthcare Sector" will continue to open in October 2024, learners can refer to the information at the following link go.ueh.edu.vn/yte. Batch 2 of the Professional Training Course on Bidding will continue to open in September 2024 at go.ueh.edu.vn/dauthau. In addition, UEH is developing a course on “Research methods and skills to implement pharmacoeconomic assessment reports” for the healthcare sector participating in implementing Pharmacoeconomic assessment reports in accordance with Decision 1315/QD-BYT dated May 17, 2024.
